Royal Albert Old Country Roses Bristol Mug

This mug is a wonderful addition to the Old Country Roses Christmas dishes. I'm not much of a tea drinker so this is a better fit for me than the tea cups which come with the place settings. It's the perfect mug to enjoy a nice cup of hot cocoa on a cold winter's night wrapped up in a blanket by the fire listening to Christmas music and enjoying the splendor of the season. The shape around the top of the mug adds a nice contrast to the rest of the piece.

I am a Christmas addict. I love the decorations etc. and have lots of holiday mugs for my family. However, I enjoy my afternoon cup of tea in a bone china mug. Maybe it's because I'm English. This is perfect for the holidays. Pretty enough to be on display in my hutch where I have a few Old Country Rose (Royal Albert) cups and saucers, tea plates, sugar and creamer and a serving plate. The tree is on one side and the roses on the other.

I have this cup for few years and love it. I love Royal Albert's cup as they are light weight, nice touch on your lips, beautiful to look at, and make coffee taste good. I purchase this one, same as mine, to my mother since she wants it. She really like it.

This was part of a set of 4 cups and saucers that goes with the teapot, creamer and sugar bowl. Now the set is once again complete!

Lovely cup. Didn't get a saucer!

I've always wanted a special cup of my own for my favorite teas and coffee. This one is perfect. It is very delicate and the design is breathtaking. Sipping tea from it makes me feel as special as my new cup. The other members of the family know to leave it alone.

My original Royal Albert pieces were made in England. This new piece was made in Indonesia. Whereas The pieces look good on the initial cursory inspection, this cup teaters slightly on the saucer. However, the ones from England were flawless. I will note that the English pieces were manufactured in 1962. Whether it's the place of manufacture or modern methods versus the method 40 years ago, I couldn't say. If you aren't put off by the slight lacking in precision, the new pieces should do alright by you. If you want perfection, hold out for the old British made ones.

Accidently broke one of the cups in set. Was pleased to see that Amazon had a supplier that would sell only the peice I needed.Arrived within 4 days in great shape. Now we have full set again at reasonable cost.
