How far apart would I place these to secure a bed skirt on a queen box spring? Is a pack of 50 enough for a queen box spring?

I put them about 12 to 14 inches apart on a King Size bed (two sides and foot portion) and I still had about one half of the box left. You should have plenty. P.S. My Bed Skirt has an elastic band on the Headboard portion, as do most, so no pins there. Hope this helps.....

They are flat. They have a bit of roundness, but I would call them flat. They are a little difficult to screw in, but they do work. I use them on a dust ruffle and they worked fine .

Can this be used on a leather couch?

If you are looking for a nail head type of look on your leather couch these twist pins would not provide the appropriate look at their head is clear not metal. In addition, the pin portion is a smaller gauge wire so it might be too flimsy to go through leather.
