L/XL is not large.
I ordered a L/XL, but the hat is just average size. It does not fit my head.I have other L/XL hats from the same brand that fit well.Cute hat, crushable and stylish but returned due to size.

So happy to find this hat again
I love this hat and have had many compliments on it. Some years ago I bought this in another color. Looked high and low but never could find the same model in any store. Amazon to the rescue! I seem to have a "pointy" head and difficulty finding hats to fit. The small/medium is perfect. I always install under-the-chin ties on my hats (usually made with shoe laces) to keep them on my head in a breeze, and this is no different. But it does the trick. I'm still wearing the brown heather version of this hat but may buy a backup so I don't worry about losing or damaging it. I am able to roll up these hats and squeeze them into my tightly packed camera bag with all my gear. They come out looking great!
