BCA Stealth 270 Avalanche Probe

Love this BCA Stealth 270 Avalanche Probe!***Pros***This probe comes in a carrying kit that makes it easy to store and easy to access. It has a zipper on the side for easy access and slides in/out of the case easily. To assemble it, you just hold on the top and toss the rest of it away from you then pull the knob and it will tighten all the sections. Then to release it you pinch the two plastic wings and it will release so that you can pull apart the sections and store it again. It is pretty intuitive. Seems strong (it's aluminum). And at 270 it's a good length for most snowpacks.*** Cons ***I would say the only main con is that it is more expensive than the absolute cheapest on the market. It is nowhere near the most expensive, and overall a good price for how nice it is. So overall no real cons. It's a good price. Great probe. I might even buy a second one.

Designed well easy to read pulls together flawlessly. What else do you want in a avy probe

We always trust BCA products for our snowmobile gear. Haven't had to use this probe for its intended purpose and hopefully I never will, but it is good to know that it is well made, solid, quality and won't break in a moment of need

This is a great avalanche probe. The design is simple and reliable and the probe is sturdy when assembled. But I primarily bought it because the gray and orange model was pictured in the listing. What I got was the blue version. The team-owned gear for my SAR team is the blue version, so I was hoping to get the gray and orange model to more obviously differentiate my personal gear from the team-owned gear. Not the end of the world, but the listing was a bit misleading in that particular aspect.

Didn’t save any lives yet, but did some practicing with this guy. It’s quick to snap together and doesn’t add too much weight to my pack. You can get lighter, but for the price this one works.
