Perfect for the theme of the dance.

I ordered this tie for my bf, who has a large tie collection and occasionally wears them. He also loves art and especially the Starry Night painting. I was going to give it to him for Valentine's Day with a couple of other things. I ordered it after reading most of the reviews and was excited that for the most part, it received 5 stars. It arrived on time and I finally opened it to inspect it yesterday. I was really surprised at how extremely wide the tie is. I wish I would have read the measurements more carefully. The shades of blue are lighter than in the picture, so it is not a perfect replica, but it is a 15.00 tie so I was not expecting a masterpiece. I really wanted to love the tie as much as the other reviewers but the awkward wideness of the tie just really does not look good to me. I decided against giving it to him for V-Day, and went ahead and gave it to him yesterday. He said he liked it but I don't think he will ever actually wear it.

I purchased this tie to coordinate with my daughter for her Girl Scouts father-daughter dance theme- Starry Night. It was obviously perfect for the theme. The tie is well made and typical of a novelty tie as far as quality is concerned. I most likely will not have much of an occasion to wear it much in the future but for the novelty of wearing it to a themed dance it served its purpose well at the right price!
