BEAUTY MIRACLE! Unexpected skin benefits!
I bought this initially to lighten a curling iron burn scar on the side of my cheek. Spoiler alert: That helped. What I didn’t expect was to see how my pours tightened and my skin brightened…so much so that I no longer have to use any BB cream or foundation at all! It is now going to be my daily staple in my skin care routine. Wow!!!!

Awesome for Hyperpigmentation & Melasma
I was looking for products with the active ingredients used in the Cosmelan Peel that is the BEST for melasma, but it is expensive and leaves you red and peeling. I don't have melasma, but hyperpigmentation that lasts for months, particularly from acne recently during pregnancy. I have been using this tranexamic acid in combo with 10% azaleic acid, at night alternating between these one night and hyaluronic acid serum only the next night. After 6 weeks in, not only is there a DRASTIC improvement of my hyperpigmentation acne marks, I have not gotten any new acne and my nose blackheads are almost gone! Unbelievable because I have been suffering from acne since my teens and have had hormonal acne for years, and I am 39yo.In two more months, I am looking like I will have even skin for the first time in years!

Mildly Effective
I purchased this product to get rid of some hyperpigmentation that appeared on my face after living 6º north latitude for some time. Even with a hat on, the sun was so potent that even the reflection of the light that bounced back on my face was strong enough to damage my skin!Anyway, I purchased this after reading reviews on various sites. I found that it wasn't strong enough to fade the spots. I had to go the prescription Rx route. However, after fading the pigmentation with stronger products, I have gone back to this one to keep the hyperpigmentation from reappearing. Did you not know that keeping hyperpigmentation at bay is a lifelong project that requires vigilance and commitment? This product is very good for maintaining the results of the hard work of removing these problematic areas. Thumbs up for that! But it was not very effective for fading them initially.I would advise also using this on the hands. I just turned 50 and they appeared on my hands and chest out of nowhere! Do it when you're 30, even before they have a chance to arrive. xo

Very irritating with too many strong acids in the formula!
EDIT: I’m not repurchasing this one. It’s pretty irritating to my sensitive face skin tbh. It kind of has every whitening acid under the sun in it, including some known irritants. That said, if nothing really bothers your skin, it’s pretty affordable and I did see it break up some of my sun damage spots - so it’s a lot of bang for the buck. But it also completely wrecked my skin barrier for a few weeks and I had to stop all actives. I’m using it on my arms now because it’s ok there for me.If you’re just buying this for the tranxemic acid, though, I’d try purchasing that acid on its own to see how you tolerate it. Putting it in a formula with strong stuff like kojic acid might irritate you - especially if you’re using retinoids! I find that the Good Molecules Discoloration serum works almost as well as this for me, but is much more mild.Note that tranex has Vit C in it too so best to use your acids in the morning and retinol/tret at night. - or every other day (or just a few times/wk for this serum until you acclimate). I don’t think you would need to add a C serum on top of this - it would be overkill. And if you have really deep/old sunspots, scars or damage, know that the only way to really get rid of that is with lasers - and visiting a derm to better understand your skin. Melasma is a different animal and can be very difficult to treat also - I would not try to use this on melasma unless a dr approved that because you could make it worse. Doctors and lasers are expensive but using very stripping acids for long periods of time isn’t really fun either and could cause other types of damage.Lastly, I really hate this bottle. The dropper barely works. I had to pour a few drops into my hand instead.

Not worth it
This item is a waste of money and time. I've used it twice a day until it finished, and saw zero results. I definitely would NOT recommend this.

This serum is reducing the age spots on my sensitive skin.
This Tranexamic Acid Serum will remain in our skin care routine. For me the wife, it has worked well for my sensitive skin. It is slowly helping to reduce the darkness of my age spots. The liquid serum looks like water, and is soft and gentle to easily spread on my skin. I get no irritation from using the serum on my excema prone skin. For me, the husband, the liquid is quick to use from the dropper. The bottle is a nice looking glass bottle we both enjoy leaving out on our counter.

Didn't See a Change
I used this product for about three weeks and didn't see any change at all. I took before and after pics, and the dark spots near the jawline, for which I had bought it, were still there. I stopped using it and threw it away. I now use Vitamin C and I have seen my spots lighten up.

Amazing results
Worked wonders on my skin . I have brown skin so I suddenly started to have dark hyperpigmentation around my mouth 2 years back. This serum took great care of it and I was able to slowly get rid of the pigmentation . It starts showing results in a week or 2 and it completely fades in a couple of months . In my case , the underlying cause of my hyperpigmentation is still unknown so when I stopped using this serum for a few months because I came back to my home country then the pigmentation returned so I will definitely be buying this serum again once I return to the UK.

Worked wonders for me… when in date.
I originally had my eye on this through Penn Smith, but it was only sold on Amazon USA, but didn’t do anything for almost a year because wasn’t willing to risk the higher cost from America. I was delighted to see by chance three months ago that it was now being sold on Amazon UK, (top marks to the seller) so jumped at the chance to purchase. I’ve used prescription and non-prescription expensive and costly serums and creams (you name it!) to reduce my age and sun related damage to my 50year old skin. While it has been a very long and arduous journey over 4 years, there was still some 20% that wouldn’t go away on my cheeks and forehead. I was sceptical about this serum but I must say despite some other bad reviews, this worked for me, where other pricey serums didn’t. I like the consistency as it’s quite fluid but not runny and disappears into the skin, doesn’t interfere with other serum applications. I’ve used it morning and night, I could definitely see a difference within the first week, which surprised me. I didn’t suffer any downsides with it, but I am used to using acids and highest strengths actives. I alternated one month using Queen 7in1 but that one is ever so slightly thicker and despite more impressive ingredients, didn’t work as well for me and there was slight peeling after every ten days. The bottle for Tranex is a dupe for a higher end beauty serum and at first I thought is was gimmicky and the dispenser quite stiff to use, but it loosened up and became very controllable to dispense drops at a time. It’s also handy to see the bottom when you need to reorder. The shape of the bottle also lends itself to little waste. I emptied the Queen7in1 badly performing pump dispenser into the glass Tranex bottle! And I will be reusing it again as it is pretty and I’m never keen on plastic or ceramic bottles. Now, reordering.. as of 22 Nov ‘22, I’ve ordered 3 bottles on 3 occasions and they’ve all come short dated (despite Amazon’s reassurances) to 13 Jan ‘23, manufactured in Jan 2020. While I understand it may still be ‘good’ to use, I don’t believe it is acceptable for short dated items to be sold unless it is made clear at the outset. And furthermore, I’m not willing to experiment at my expense for something that won’t work because it’s gone off sat on a shelf for nearly 2 years. So, beware of the expiry date if you do order. The box photo on the webpage is also different to what’s received (green box). Spelling also needs looking at on this box. Even though Amazon has good customer service, it’s still a phaff to get there and who’s got time/patience to wrap/returns. Amazon also annoyingly (or on purpose?) stick all their barcodes over info like place of manufacture, etc. When I can get hold of a longer dated Tranex, I accept I will have to keep using it for the longer term to further improve and keep my pigmentation at bay, as long as it keeps its efficacy for me. And that’s saying a lot, as I’ve never bought an anti-pigment serum twice…. ever!
