Nice look but poor quality product and service
The gearknob looks fine and has a good feel to it, but that is the extent of it.It is not supplied with fixing screws (you would need 3 x M4 5mm long grub screws to attach it) but bizarrely you do get an Allen key. I would have though that anybody who had such screws would already have the tool for their application, but hey ho.There are two double-ended adaptors (one is up inside the knob on delivery) made of hard plastic that has no 'give' or flex. Therefore the fit over most key shafts will be marginally loose - if it wasn't, you would not be able to fit it on. As a result, it is a universal knob only in the sense that it arguably fits nothing precisely. Then to the knob itself. Once you have paid out more for the screws and attached it, the knob still turns. Why? because the main body of the knob is attached to the fitment only by two small dabs of yellow glue. I know this because the knob came away in two parts after affixing to the gear shaft.I passed on my concerns to Autobits UK/Flexzon who accepted my return - as long as I paid the postage (up to £4.50). For a £7.99 purchase (mine came with a universal gaiter - comments below), this seemed like poor service. They did also request a photograph first in order to 'visualise' it. Not even the slightest sense that I should be recompensed. The 'universal' gaiter that you can also buy is lengthy and elasticated, so it will be way too big for many models, particularly those with a tight clip-in frame because you have to bend the seams under a marginal gap. To put it on, you have to apply the inside-out and upside down method, and you lose the conical shape owing to the almost whole-length double-fold. You might be happy with the look, but would you say a pair of jeans fitted if you had to make do with turn-ups that went up to your knees?Again, the material does have a nice feel to it.All in all, I wish I hadn't bothered.
