Just what's needed. Gets knives hair shaving sharp if you do it right. Watch youtube videos on this India stone. That helped me.I let soak in water till bubbles stopped and put baby oil on it then used and oh yeah the bowies a happy bowie.

I purchased this on recommendation from friends and family who are either arborists' or sawyers in the lumber industry and am glad I did.Works pretty much as intended, I have used this to sharpen 3 hatchets and 1 axe. It's handy, easy to use, and does the job well. I like its compactness and the fit in my hand. I would recommend. A great value for your money.

Not a great sharping stone

I needed a pack sharpener for my hatchets and tomahawks. I ended up using this on my heavy wood axes at home too. Great little sharpener!
