Schwalbe Marathon Wired Tyre with Greenguard Reflex

16inスポーツサイクル（注文生産）に使用。 購入時に装着されていたタイヤがパンクしてしまい、ソリッドタイプのノーパンクタイヤ（チューブ）を試しましたが、走行感が全く変わってしまい（加速しない/惰性が続かないetc）使いものにならなくなってしまったので、パンク耐性タイヤで名の通っている本品を試しました。 本品は、加速感/惰性の伸びetcもオリジナルタイヤに遜色無く、コーナリング時の感覚が少し違う程度でした。 使い始めて数ヶ月で、耐久性のテストはこれからですが、実績の有るタイヤなので、安心感はあります。

I was getting flats on my back tire every 2 weeks and it was really hard to repair the back tire with the motorized rim. I finally broke down and did research on a puncture resistant tire for my ebike that would not cost an arm and leg to buy. I came across this tire and took a chance based on other reviews. I have been riding on it for a few weeks now trouble free. It was a little hard to get on, but with steel tire levers and some patience it went on. PROS: It is a good solid tire with a layer of protection against glass, sharp rocks, old nails, screws, and everything else I have come across on the road. The reflective sidewall is a plus and help in visibility at night. It states it is designed for ebikes which caused me to buy it along with it being puncture resistant. CONS: There is not much tread on the tire (not very deep) and it was a little hard to get on. Over all a good buy. 09/09/14 update - Well almost a year without a flat. I did get a flat in the front and replaced the tire with this one along with a thorn resistant tube and plan on riding a long time before i get another flat.

Definitely recommend to people in need to puncture resistant 700x25c tires. Tire is very sturdy & durable. I'm currently using these tires on weekly century rides. However, the downside was that the tire is very hard to put on. I had to go to a bike shop to have them install it. Also durability of the tire also adds additional weight (from the armadillo like pattern & thickness) compare to general road bike 700x25c tires. So when purchasing, consider sacrificing speed (really unnoticeable) for durability.

通勤用のクロスバイクに装着しています。片道約2kmを6～7年ほど、ほぼ毎日乗りましたがノントラブルでした。通勤時のパンクは致命的ですので、それが無かったのはこのタイヤのおかげだと思っています。その安心感から今回リピート購入しました。 タイヤ自体は相当タフなのでまだまだ使えそうではありましたが、5年くらいで側面や反射塗料等に「くたびれ感」が出て、最近タイヤ自体も若干膨らんできた感じがしましたので交換しました。 パンクに強い反面やや重くて硬いので装着には少々苦労しますが、たった一度の苦労ですからそれは我慢。再び快適な走行感となり満足しています。
