How many of these would it take for a full cake batter?

It depends on the cake. I have been baking with these for the last couple of months every week and it varies from recipe to recipe. I have found that a cake that has 2 cups of flour in it usually make somewhere between 10 and 12 mini buns. It depends on the other ingredients. Cake recipes with 3 cups of flour, Again depending on the additional ingredients, has made anywhere from 12 to 15 mini months.

Will very hot caramel melt these plastic pans? hot caramel freshly made stovetop for chocoflan?

Not sure how hot the caramel would be but they did just fine in the oven at 350 - for 15 minutes. Over and over and over, about 6 different cakes.
