Really like this product, from the packaging to the contents. As you open the box that keeps the saffron fresh, you inhale the heady scent of what is definitely similar to tobacco. A generous pinch into whatever I'm cooking that requires the depth that saffron gives and although I can't detect it in the sauce, I know when it's not there.When placed in hot water, the saffron fronds release their sunshine yellow colour which can then be poured over rice etc.This is a good quality saffron at a good price and I would recommend it.

I purchased this back in June 2023 and have only just used it, to find inside wrapped up in the saffron strands a bent metal staple. I’ve still given 3 stars as I’ve used the saffron this evening and it’s a good quality and great value for price but very shocking to find a piece of metal inside.

Purchased this for my budding chef son who was as pleased as punch with it.

Bought for paella. My son's girlfriend, who is half Spanish, thoroughly approved. Taste and colour of finished dish was wonderful. Cannot recommend highly enough, especially for the price.

Makes wonderful basmati saffron rice also nice with sultanas mmmm

Made saffron buns with it, am very pleased, the buns turned out to be delicious, now made a second batch and intend to buy some more of this saffron. Reasonable price and worked like it should.
