Bought these for use on our open kitchen shelves. The shelves are made out of 2x8s with 12" separation from top of shelf to bottom of next shelf. These canisters not only fit in height, but the width fits the narrow shelf as well. And the white with black lettering and trim look great against the natural pine wall of our kitchen.The finish is not the greatest in the world, however it is better than expected given the price. They a thinner and lihter weight than I had originally anticipated. All the lids fit well and the seals appear to be tight.All in all, for the price, I feel these are great canisters and I will be purchasing more pieces from their collection in the future.

These containers are so cute! I have always wanted these in my kitchen and love it that I can just open them and my baking ingredients are there!

Whether you plan to have these out on the counter or in your pantry, these canisters are perfection. They extend the life of potatoes, onions and garlic and keep them fresh so you save money on food. I love that the lids are not tightly fitted so it is easy to access produce while cooking. They are well made. I do wish the onion canister was bigger as I use a lot of onions in my cooking. Get them, you will love them.

1. Love the containers, mainly because they are so cute2. The garlic container lid is too tight, but the onion container lid is too loose3. The onion container could have been bigger, only 1 onion takes up the whole bottom, so a second onion sits on top but then the lid can't close all the way.4. The potato container seems very huge, I don't think I ever buy so many that it would fill it up. Also, not sure if it's the type of potato, but after only a week there's already growth on all the potatoes. Just keeping them in the bag usually keeps them from sprouting for longer. Maybe next time I'll keep them in the bag and then put them in the bin.5. I think the garlic container is a perfect size, I usually only have 1 or 2 of them at a time though so it will never be full.I do keep all three containers in the bottom of the cupboard so they're in a cool dry place.

So glad we purchased these, will purchase again! Color goes with my home, the storage capacity was better than expected. Not heavy at all, very light weight!

I purchased this canister set several months ago and I used it to get my potatoes and onions off the kitchen floor and onto the counter top. The canisters are a good idea but I hoped for a larger onion canister. The potato canister can comfortably hold five or six pounds of potatoes and the garlic canister is plenty large enough to hold 15 medium sized garlic bulbs. However, the onion canister is too small to hold three pounds of onions.I cook with more onions than garlic and I usually purchase three pound bags of onions. As shown in my pictures, three pounds of onions consists of eight individuals. With three pounds in the onion container, I can not place the lid. The onion container is best suited for 1.5 or 2 pounds maximum.I don't want a floor storage unit because I don't want to clutter up my kitchen floor. I am sticking with this canister set until I find one larger. I work around by storing excess onions in another location but that defeats the organizational purpose for which I bought these canisters.Another thing that I found annoying about this set is the fact that the words "Vintage Storage" appear on the front of all canisters. It does not appear to be vintage if it is labeled as such. That labeling detracts from the charm of the product and I regard this as marketing overkill.This set can be a good value if you do not wish to store more than two pounds of onions and you don't mind having canisters that constantly remind everyone that they are not really vintage.If the vintage labels are removed and the onion canister is made large enough to hold a 3 pound bag of onions, I will repurchase this product and give it 5 stars.
