This is great to use if you are a beginner or a pro when icing cookies. I usually use this product for little details rather than mixing up a large batch of royal icing. Easy to mix in additional colors as needed. I suggest you put the icing in a bowl before mixing in color so that it is all blended. If you are unsure of consistency, microwave the bottle (top off) for 15 seconds and test. If it is too watery, just let is sit as it will harden automatically

I could not find white cookie frosting anywhere this holiday season except Amazon! Good stuff, easy to use. Good for kids.

So I bought these thinking I was brilliant, but I hedged my bets and also bought some silicone cake decorating bottles -- I have arthritis and wanted to be sure I could stay the course in decorating cookies for Easter. Then I read reviews that said the icing was too runny and tasted bad....so I made a batch of cookies earlier in the week to test.... Those reviewers must have never had royal icing -- because this was actually WAY BETTER than typical. The directions say to microwave the bottle (lid off) for 15 seconds and then massage the bottle to distribute the heat -- sure it's a little runny while still warm - I just kept it on the counter with the lid off for a few minutes -- who doesn't need a few minutes to make a cup of tea? I was completely able to make my border and fill the cookies with no problem. So about the squeeziness? WEll, I like these bottles, but I liked the silicone bottles I bought (just in case) better, so I actually poured one white icing in a silicone bottle with a #1 tip for the border and used the Wilton bottle to fill the cookies -- I think it worked great!. I bought 2 white, a red, a blue, a green, yellow and pink....it wasn't cheap -- but it was SOOOO much easier for cleanup -- and I'm definitely doing it again....Mothers' Day is around the corner after all.
