Why don't you carry the hard shell & padded case - Model #MA800

We do. It's just that they use the same UPC code for both and Amazon doesn't recognize the difference. Give us a call for that one.

How do you clean it, after each use? Just rinse it out?

I've always just dried it with a cloth or paper towel. Anything really. Been doing it for years

Is there a difference between the green or black version of the milwaukee ma887 digital salinity refractometer?

No, the "black" version is the latest Milwaukee product cc 2021. Functionally they are exactly the same. Dittio for the other Milwaukee products too.

I've had my ma887 for year now. seems to calculate 35ppt at 1.027 s.g. anyone else's unit do this?

I have had the same problem and you can calibrate it with distilled water, but mine was still off by 2ppm regardless.
