OTC 7677 Exhaust Hanger Plier

It works like a charm. I like it being solid built and sturdy. I would recommend to spray some WD-40 into the rubber hanger first and that will help a lot. The pictures show the bottom of my car with the stock exhaust removed and the other showing the removed stock exhaust.

Solid construction. It is the only one I found with the tool being a solid piece of metal instead of riveted pieces. Has an adjustable pliers width for different size hangers. Ridiculously expensive though.

It's tough to justify the high price of this tool considering how simple it is, but now that I have it, I couldn't imagine doing an exhaust job without it. Spray some PB Blaster on the hangers first, and this thing works like magic. Plus, I expect it should pretty much last forever, so it will continue to make my life easier for years to come.

Works when it fits, but many hangers on a Honda CRV or too cramped to fit this tool. The design is odd in that the handle must be almost parallel to the hanger metal stud and not perpendicular downward, causing clearance problems with suspension or exhaust pipes. But this tool is solidly made and unlikely to break even with abuse.

I have another brand/size of this concept which is adequate for cars and light trucks but for 3/4 and 1 ton the rubber hangers are quite a bit bigger and a lighter tool will work but not as well as this tool, this is larger and heavier than the other one I have and is not as difficult to use on larger rubber isolators you may not feel the need to buy one of these until you come to the situation where it sure would be nice to have one,that is how I wound up buying this one, I have tried it to see if it would have helped in the situation,(tailpipe on a 1 ton ram 2008) YEP works pretty darn sweet !

I have used these pliers a couple of times and they work very well. I think the price is ridiculous though.
