Like these for microwave use
10 inch plates look nice and seem durable and are lightweight. I don't like putting my good dishes in the microwave so these are perfect for melting cheese in a wrap or heating a quick meal. They are easy enough to clean, unless your heating something like Tomato soup that stains. I found this out when using the bowls that match these plates. Plates and bowls would also be perfect for a picnic or for kids meals.

Last about a year
I've had these for almost a year. One has a stain (tomato sauce) and some bubbling from using to reheat food. One has damage from dishwasher (embedded soap). They held up fairly well, just be prepared to replace yearly. I think that's fair for the price.

I love these lightweight and durable plates. I had carpal tunnel surgery and my regular plates were too heavy to lift. These were great.

Wheat, its not just for making bread.
This is my second purchase of this material, wheat based. I bought the bowl set 2 months ago bc at the time our Ikea purchased bowls would give a first degree burn when microwaved. Well, same with the plates. Both the bowls and the plates have been fantastic. Unbreakable. These are awesome for use in the microwave and remain cool to the touch with hot food in them or on them. Being a wheat farmer it makes me extra proud that science has lead to another new use for wheat, really makes me proud and wish my grandfather was here to see it, he would be impressed. Highly recommend just purchasing the entire set from plates to bowls as you will not regret it.
