A Clever, Calming Mystery Game. Great Solo or With Friends!
MicroMacro: Crime City is such a versatile and fun game. I originally bought it for myself but ended up gifting copies to my sister and my daughter because I loved it so much. My sister, who’s a big fan of murder mysteries, plays it solo in the evenings after her kids go to bed. She finds it calming—almost like doing a jigsaw puzzle, but with a twist of intrigue. My daughter hung hers up in her apartment like wall art and plays with friends when they come over. It’s the kind of game that sparks curiosity, conversation, and a lot of “aha!” moments. Whether you’re playing alone or as a group, it’s a super satisfying way to unwind and get your detective brain going. Highly recommend!

10 year old boy loved this, Collaborative, Reading
This was a BDay gift for my 10 year old nephew who lives a long distance away, so I asked a friend who had just attended a bday party with 20 ten-year old boys what the popular presents were. This was on the list. It was a hit, and every spare moment, he asked me to play. Well designed game that encourages collaboration, searching details for clues, and bonus - he worked on his reading skills since he was the Lead Detective. It starts with an easier training crime, and progresses to more difficult. Tips: you need a large table to lay out the map and good lighting to see the detail. Adults will need their glasses. It comes with one magnifying tool. It was fun! Also satisfying to piece together the crime scene and solution. Game says 12 and up, but this 10 year old did great.

Fun, interactive, and great for all ages
I bought this as a Christmas present for my parents, and they loved it. They love mystery board games, so this was right up their alley. Goes great with their sister games, as you can combine them to make an even bigger version of the game that interconnects with each other.

FUN!
I've been waiting to play this for awhile, thinking it looked like an interesting game. I loved the "look and find books" when I was a kid and this seemed right up my alley. I was right! It is more of an activity than a game, but certainly very fun and entertaining. There are several cases to solve and each gets alittle bit harder as you go along. My boyfriend and I really had a blast solving each case. The first few are pretty easy but get you warmed up to the kind of tracking and evidence you need to look for to solve the crimes. You are not just looking for specific objects or places (though you do that too) but rather following entire stories and motivations of characters by just visually spotting them at various locations, following their movements around town, discovering whom they have met or interacted with, or what tasks they've performed. Each case has its own set of cards (some have only a few, while harder cases have many) each card has a single question to answer by investigating the map. You attempt to solve it and when you believe you've figured it out... flip the card to find out if you're right.I would recommend this for families with kids 8+ and as it turns out, perfect for couples or friends looking to try out a new activity, as well. I hope to see some expansions and future similar games! Can't wait to play again. The map is incredibly detailed and fun to explore even without solving the crimes!

Love it
Seen a review of this game on tiktok. Looked different and interesting. The map is detailed and funny as hell. The size can be a little hard to work with but because how detailed everything is, it's needed.

Love the concept lots of fun
I love the concept and its sooo much fun to play with friends and family. If you love solving mysteries and puzzles this is a great blend. It’s like murder mystery meets where’s Waldo. You read a story and try to figure out the crime and what happened. Different scenarios offer varying levels of difficulty so there’s fun for everyone. All ages and experiences levels can find something to enjoy in this genre. I love it and plan to buy the entire series I hope they keep making more! Need a big table to fully see the map and follow the leads.

Excellent game, perfect for 2 players.
Saw the game online, sounded interesting. Read a few reviews and all were positive. Now that I’ve played the game I wanted to add to the positive reviews. It’s a mix between where’s Waldo and who-done-it. Me and my daughter love the game! There are extra stories online as well once you complete all the stories.TIP: I read a review before I bought that said to use plastic over the paper game map. Then you can use dry erase markers to make notes and follow stories. That was the BEST advise. I bought plastic on Amazon (Crystal Clear PET Plastic Sheets... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09572YB4T?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) wasn’t a perfect fit but I cut the extra length to fill in for the width (needed a few cuts) and just scotch taped the pieces together. I really don’t know how you would play without this. I guess it would just be much harder but I suggest using plastic over the map for sure A++ til from previous reviewer.
