The Liturgical Organist, Volume 4

Wonderful resource
I'm a pianist, not an organist, who plays organ for church services because we have such a shortage of musicians, locally; and when I found this book - worn and incomplete - at a yard sale a couple years ago, I picked it up on the cheap. Loved it so much I had to come here and buy the full and intact copy. It's easy to sight-read, manuals-only, reverent, suitable for use throughout a liturgical service. It stays with me all the time, and I never go in to play for a church without it in hand.

A "must have" for the Church Organist
The Liturgical Organist, Vol.4 is a great addition to my music repertoire. The selections are easy to sight read and play and are of good musical quality. All four volumes are a must for the Church organist.

Short, Mostly Romantic Snippets
Though it is not a particularly great source for preludes considering these pieces are mostly 3 minutes or less, it is still a useful collection of mostly romantic era pieces, especially short excerpts. None of these are sourced, and some are apparently transcriptions even when not labeled as such. The only information given for each selection is a composer, key, and tempo marking. As others mentioned, they are organized by key.
