That Smell, Though...
My son and I love the smell of Squatch pine tar soap, but I was looking for something a little less expensive that might last longer. Saw all of the comments about it smelling like a campfire, etc., and figured some people just don't like the aroma of pine tar. Well, this smells nothing like any pine tar I've smelled. The smell, even before I opened the box, was very off-putting. Does it smell like a campfire? Yes... one that, as it's dying, you put all your camp trash in, and then, in the morning, since it's still smoldering, you pee on to put the rest of the way out. The good news is, the smell is not nearly so strong once you start using it, AND, as far as I can tell, does not cling to you out of the shower. The great news is, it is really good soap. I use it on my hair and beard and LOVE how clean it gets them. And it lasts WAY, way longer than a bar of Squatch, for a fraction of the price. Give it a try!

It has a strong, but not overpowering scent
This is a really nice soap, that claimed I could use it as a body/face/shampoo soap. I tested all three use cases and didn't suffer from any kind of dry skin, my hair was none the worse for wear either. There is no exfoliant in this soap so users will want to use some kind of loofa or washcloth alongside the soap to make sure you get that dead skin off. Finally, its time to talk about the scent of the soap itself, the only other pine scented soap I have to compare it to is a bar of Dr. Squatch Pine tar soap, which has a much different scent profile, surprisingly. The closest I can think of is remembering a smell that would soak into my clothes when I used to camp when I was younger, the trees around us were mostly pines and we would use fallen logs as a fuel source. That about sums up what the soap smells like. It is important to note that the soap will give off a scent and that scent will tend to fill up your bathroom, unless overpowered by a stronger scent (another soap in my case). If you're sensitive to smells, you might want to skip out on this bar entirely. The last talking point I can think of is that these bars come in at 3.25 ounces, so they sit a little on the small side when it comes to bar soap which Im used to seeing at around 5 ounces per bar or bigger (I'm looking at you, Duke Cannon). The product specifically in my review is a 2-pack, and I am still a little too early in my usage to get a good idea of the lifespan, so I'll make sure to update my review if the soap stands out from what I think each bar should last for by a wide enough margin. All in all, its everything I wanted in a pine tar body soap, though exfoliants would have been nice too.

Smells strong at first
Does smell quite strong but when you wash it does not smell too strong just fresh, it lathers well and does not seem to dry the skin out.It is worth getting and does not cost an extortionate amount
