UPDATE—now working.
UPDATE: The level is now working. The batteries were not installed correctly. Note that even though there are springs on the bottom of the battery compartment, which usually indicates the negative end, in this case, the two batteries on the end go in positive side to the spring and negative side to the top. I see in the listing, there is a photo—but this documentation is not included with the level. There are indicators on the inside cover of the battery compartment to indicate position, but I did not see them! I will add that their customer service was efficient and fast, so I’ve updated my rating from 1 to 5 stars.I purchased the Huepar in March 2023 & I’m trying it for the first time (should have tried it immediately, but a project got delayed & now the return window is closed). It won’t turn on. I have read all the documentation—which isn’t very thorough & I’ve emailed their customer service. Really disappointed. I will update when customer service returns my inquiry.

Best Laser I've Used Yet!
I own "Halo Electric, LLC" in Central Oregon. I use the "level" setting to set my electrical boxes at bathrooms and kitchens... I also use it for dilling out holes for my cables.I use the "Plumb" setting for exact recessed lighting placement and when installing a service mast through multiple roof/overhang levels. This laser is so great, I purchased one for my plumber buddy @ "Team Thompson Plumbing" in Central Oregon. He loves his as much as I love mine!5 Star

Easy to use. Documentation weak.
Very pleased with one minor issue. It seems well made. Lasers are plenty bright. My issue was the instruction manual. 6 pages of English including a page of specifications and two of product overview.I'm not a surveyor and have no idea how to use the plastic scale or what all the holes and slots are for on the base. If it's in the case it should be at least pictured. I even found a blurry video that the company posted which doesn't offer how to use the included items. In summary, it worked for what I wanted.

Cant beat it for the money an a very nice damage resistant case to top it off!
I write when something's extremely bad, so I will write when something is extremely good. I've built all my life. I still use regular, old builders level but you need 2 people, but this thing so easy to use. Just a couple of different settings, which I love. Comes in a killer case that you can drop through around, and it'll be. Safe when you're on a job site or home projects.. very, very bright for indoors. And I could actually see it outdoors pretty good but bought a reciever for it. It's actually cheaper than the old builders level.. I don't know how you can beat this for the price. It works great. I bought a cheaper off brand. Laser pulse receiver for it.. The first thing I did was walk out in the middle of the day. It's supposed to be good. For 100 feet I walked out at least 130 picks it up great. I don't see how you could get anything better for home projects and even. Buildings. Commercial.

Great price point, quality visibility, can’t beat the value for the $$
UPDATE (12/27/2018) - the level works well for most practical uses, but became difficult to see in bright sun when more than 5-10 feet away. In normal daylight it worked well up to 20 feet. I will keep this one for sure because it’s easy to use and functions well. The batteries last quite a while also. BUT I will also invest in a more expensive and more powerful rotary laser for larger outdoor uses.BEGIN ORIGINAL REVIEWI am a brand new contractor with over 10 years of occasional personal handyman and home renovation experience. This is my first purchase of a laser level. I decided it was necessary after working with another contractor recently and seeing how a basic laser level greatly sped up the workflow. After using a red laser level and struggling to visualize it with the sun shining through the window during and indoor project, I decided I would opt for the more expensive green laser no matter the cost.Unfortunately, the ones that seemed to fit the bill ranged from $400-$700. Immediately became less interested. So, I started doing research.I spent several hours researching the different brands, reviews, and why people like or dislike different features of different models. I quickly came to the realization that I did not need a super large rotary laser, but that having a 360° Lazer would be very beneficial for my primary work flow. I do mostly residential work like renovating rooms, building moderate sized too small additions, building decks, etc.I narrowed it down to Wanting a green line laser with a 360° function. I felt that this would suffice for my needs. So far, I am correct. I have used it while Finishing a basement and it has been worth it’s weight in gold.… Especially considering the very reasonable price point. It is a timesaver when installing new walls, framing windows, Finishing a basement and it has been worth it’s weight in gold.… Especially considering the very reasonable price point. It is a timesaver when installing new walls, framing windows,Marking outlet placements, and making me look like more of a professional. I am quickly seeing the need for a tripod so I ordered the Bosch elevator tripod. For the tripod price range of $100-$150 I felt deep bosh Wood give me the basic needs of being able to go up to at least 9 feet for setting the ledger board of a second story deck, which is something I’m doing this week.So far the line is SUPER bright in the basement work that I’m doing and I have no problem with visibility. If I end up having problems outdoors later this week I will update this. If this has not been updated within one week then assume that it is good to go for basic outdoor residential use. I did notice that this one does not seem quite as durable as the $500 Dewalt version that is similar, but I will just keep it in the case.I might even put it in a hard case because the case that comes with it, while Well cushioned, is fabric and not durable for a job site. For now it gets babied. All in all, this specific Lazer beat out all of my comparisons with even the same brand with different bottles, not to mention all of the other big name brands (at this price point). It’s not super professional, but most people don’t know that and you can’t tell it from the job it does.
