King Size White Down Alternative Comforter - Duvet Cover Insert - 300TC Cover

I purchased this duvet cover insert when we finally upgraded from a queen to a king size bed. We previously had a down-filled duvet cover insert from Pottery Barn which I LOVED, but the cost of purchasing a new one in a king size was very cost prohibitive. This duvet insert is a great alternative. It is rather thin but it is exceptionally warm and does the job nicely. We live in Wisconsin and pair this duvet insert with flannel sheets and a cotton blanket and are almost too warm in the winter. My only complaint based on personal preference, is that it is not very "lofty" or airy. I loved that my old duvet was very lofty and felt very luxurious but it was actual down-filled and of higher quality. For the price, this duvet is very nice, and I would recommend it.

I've always had down comforters/duvet's so trying a down alternative I guess I didn't know what to expect. I was hoping it would have a lighter feel to it but it really just feels like some stuffing sewn into squared off sections of a regular comforter. I won't be returning it but for the price (around $100) I was hoping for a product that felt more like down. I could have bought something that feels like this at a local department store for 1/3 of the price.If you are trying to mimic the feeling of down using this as an alternative you may find you are disappointed. Next time I will purchase the real thing.I will update the review in a few months if my experience changes.

I purchased this blanket in the king size for my new queen size bed. I like extra blanket space. I live in PA on Lake Erie. I used it for the first time last night. It's extremely warm. I was actually hot with it. I gave it 4 stars due to sound you hear when you slide your hand along the material or move under it. It's not unbearable, but is annoying. I purchased a duvet cover for it and that will hopefully take care of that. If you're looking for something warm you may want to try this one.

I love this comforter and it's super cozy when you were freezing cold but after about 20 minutes you're sweating to death. Be careful that this is not an all season comforter. We keep our bedroom at around 69° and I'm cold natured, my husband likes it that cold. I thought this would answer the issues that I had for always being so cold but even in the coldest nights after about an hour I was drenched in sweat. This is more for a very cold climate during the winter.

Light weight yet warm. I expected this comforter to be at least partially down-filled, but maybe I selected the wrong one in haste. It is "alternative" down-filled; but I have found it soft, light weight and very comfortable. It's also nice looking on my bed without a cover. I'm using it full- time along with new Eddie Bauer flannel sheets and I can barely bring myself out of bed in the mornings because its soooo cozy. I should add that my husband has complained that he gets hot during the night under the comforter.

The fabric is amazingly soft, LOVE it. I wish there was more loft to the product itself. When it first came out of the package it was VERY flat, it's been a few weeks and it has puffed up a little, it's great for summer, but not warm enough for winter. The fabric is really great, so I'll probably just add a blanket in winter. Wish it had more volume. It's also a little narrow and a little too long for a regular King size bed, but it works. (Was obviously designed for a California King.)

I love this blanket. Seriously. It makes me happy.It's soft, HUGE, and prefect. I am never too hot in this blanket, except maybe on those extremely hot days, but who uses blankets on those days anyway, that's what sheets are for.It can get kinda warm when you have more than 1 persons body heat being trapped under the blanket, so it's all a preference. I live in California, and find it to be absolutely perfect in any season (usually sunny) with just me under this soft cloud blanket. So if your partner is one that emits body heat like sun, it might get a little warm, and cozy. Snuggle up and get used to it, because it's damn better than the cold.I would say more great things about this blanket, but it's really an experience you will have to try for your self. Words can only give us so much, and tend to put things in tiny confined boxes. When in all actuality life cannot be defined, and neither can this blanket.WHOOP WHOOP!

When I was looking for a new comforter I went and read the reviews on this and it seemed pretty good…. UNTIL I got it and when I opened it up it's about as thin as paper and looks stupid in my duvet cover because the duvet cover, even though it's the same size, looks larger than this comforter. Was not happy after reading the "rave" reviews on this only to be disappointed when it came. Oh well… buyer beware.
