Designers Impressions Satin Nickel Pocket Door Privacy Lock : 53836

After the pocket door lock I bought at Lowe's turned out to be a dud, I ordered locks from several manufacturers on Amazon hoping to find a good one. All of these locks for cheap pocket doors are basically the same crappy design, almost as if they are all made in the same factory. The differences are in the details.This Designers Impressions one was by far the best of the four I ordered. Yes, it's still pretty flimsy, but at least there were no burrs on part edges, and the plates had clear coat applied. The heads on the screws they sent for the door strike were too large for the door strike countersinks, so I had to scrounge for screws that sorta-kinda fit. Overall, this lock is adequate for the job if you are stuck with one of these awful doors in your home. Like I said, it's not a great product, but it's still better than the other junk on offer.

I replaced all knobs with brushed nickel and this pocket door lock was as easy to install as slipping it into place and screwing it in.

Product quality is very low. The material is thin. I would recommend Shlange instead.
