Perfect fit!
I was very sad when my seal broke on my vintage pressure cooker. I was so happy to find this seller had a size I needed. It is perfect.

Good but Hard to install
I was ready to return it when I saw a video showing how to install it. It should have been included with the product information. It looks too large until you install It properly.

Good buy
The gasket is smaller than the original but will seal after a while. Pop off valve fits and works great..

Great Company Supporting a Great Product
I'm not sure why anyone would buy a pressure cooker from any other company but Presto. Seriously, how many companies have a phone support number here in the states, that cheerfully helps you identify your cooker and the replacement part number, whether you buy from them, or from Amazon? It took me about 10 minutes from the time I opened the package, to get the new ring and vent installed. Used the cooker that evening, and it worked perfectly. I've had this pot for 30 years, and I fully expect for it to be handed down to my great-grandkids. Thank you Presto!!As some other people have noted, a little cooking spray, and then start to tuck the ring in to the seal groove simultaneously from 4 different points (12 - 3 - 6 and 9 o'clock), a little bit at a time from each point. While it does appear to be too large for the top, a little patience, and then pressing the final slack into the rim, will get the job done. Also, Presto has a great web site with all sorts of recipes, as well as instructions on the care of the new ring. After cleaning, I just take a little bit of cooking oil on the tip of my finger, and rub it all the way around the seal before I put the pot away. Don't seal the lid on the pot for storage - leave it loose. That simple bit of maintenance made the first liner last for 30 years.

There's something very, very wrong here
It's as if Presto has no idea what the part and the cooker fits are.I bought this package from a guy on eBay, found out the ring is way too big, he refunded my money. Months later, I buy it here on Amazon, and the parts are exactly the same! I have spent almost a year trying to figure this out, every now and then when I felt like getting really frustrated. I tried all the adjusting the surplus - which, BTW, is 1 3/8"! - evenly, no good. I even tried a bit of glue on all the flanges, not only did it still pop out, but no way I could I start to turn the lid. I also tried cutting it short, glue the ends with silicone rubber; that would have worked except no room vertically for the ring!I'm staring at it once again wondering when the Valium would kick in, and I realized that THERE IS NO ROOM FOR THE RING! The space there is just enough and perfect for the two major parts to mate and click into place. You know what seals it? The tan ring that is further down (lid upside down). Yup. Presto sells a ring that has no use in my 206 cooker, and doesn't list the one that does the job!Nor do they have the manual for the 206 online. Like, how hard could that be to provide? So, no authoritative source in print. Not sure I would trust them anyway. My cooker works perfectly with just than tan one! Man, the hours, the frustration, the Valium...............WTF?Hint: Spray any pressure cooker ring with pan spray so that the lid closes and opens smoothly and won't wear the surface. Hopefully, that will keep my CORRECT ring working for years.

Fit perfect. Was very happy I found this. My pressure cooker is 50 years old. I hated to throw it out and now I don’t have to

Good quality replacement parts. Not OEM Presto.
Good quality replacement sealing ring and air vent. These are not genuine Presto parts (they are still available from Presto on their website) but they do get the job done. Installing the air vent is easy. Press out the old one from the top side of the lid. Press in the new one from the bottom side of the lid. Be sure the small end of the metal plug is on the outside, and the big end is on the inside. If it is a tight fit, put a little cooking oil on it and try again. The Sealing ring can be difficult to install because it keeps popping out as it is worked into the groove. This is true of the Genuine Presto part or aftermarket. Wipe a little cooking oil on the ring. Press it into the groove on opposite sides, letting the rest hang out. Then do the same with the part that is hanging out. This will cause the ring to be seated then bulge in 4 places in the lid. Slowly work in the bulging sections working opposite sides back and forth until its all in. It helps to have an extra pair of hands to hold what has been seated from popping out. Avoid starting in one place and working the ring in by moving along the rim because when the last bit is bulging out, it is near impossible to work in without some other place popping out.BTW, the original Presto manual says to put a little cooking oil on the ring from time to time to help keep it soft and make closing the lid easier.

perfect fit
My old presto pressure cooker renewed. vintage 1970's surprised I could find the parts to renew. I think I am a 5 quart maybe 6. We had the old recipe book that came with it and the parts list in the back. part numbers changed but Amazon had the cross reference to new parts. Delivered Quickly and perfect fits. I made meat balls from the book and everything worked perfect, no leaks. Great taste again.

IT DOES ALL IT SAYS IT WILL.
I HAVE USED PRESTO PRESSURE COOKERS ALL OF MY ADULT LIFE AND LOOKING AT THIS RING SCARED ME FOR IT WAS SO MUCH MORE NARROW THAN THOSE I HAVE SEEN IN THE PAST. ALSO, IT SEEMED TO BE MADE MORE OF SILICONE THAN THE ACTUAL RUBBER I'M USED TO. HOWEVER, IT DOES THE JOB PERFECTLY AND NO HIGH PITCH SCREAMING FROM THE OLD ONE. NOW I CAN COOK THOSE TOUGH CUTS OF MEAT PERFECTLY!!
