I think the taste is good for these, one of the best sport gels I’ve had. I ride MTB many hours and keep these in my pocket or bag when riding. Keeps the muscles going and blood sugar is good. I also appreciate the package to keep the tear off attached. No litter!

In training for a marathon, I kept hitting a wall between miles 12 and 18. However, when a friend pointed me to energy gels, I did some research and settled on Clif Shot Chocolate, non-caffeinated gels. Instantly, I was able to run my full training distances without hitting a wall! The flavor was excellent, I had little-to-no digestive repercussions, and I had the energy I needed to finish my race and conquer my target time. These were great! Highly recommend.

This gel is pretty tasty... it is fairly sweet. I tend to eat one on the drive home to hold me over after hard biking. Obviously, people use these differently than that, but it works for me. The case design is nice because it holds onto the top when you rip it off. No need to be a litterbug.. I think this is one of those things where you have to eat the whole thing at one time. There is not a way to reseal that pouch once opened and the gel will get everywhere if you were to try and pocket it. I will buy it again...
