Ayako Tezuka, Osamu

Not reviewing the book by itself. As a comic lover, i was very excited to dive into Tezuka's work.The 2-star review is for the dirty fingerprint on the cover of the book. It is disappointing to buy a new book online and get the equivalent of a second-hand book when delivered. If i knew i would have bought a second hand version, it would have been cheaper..A bit disappointed by this (dirty) product.

La edición es muy buena para el precio, 700 páginas que se pueden leer cómodamente en esta edición. Traducido desde el japonés e impreso de forma occidental, se lee como un cómic, no como un manga usual. Personajes muy bien desarrollados, dibujos increíbles, una obra que debe ser leída. Los diálogos de la gente del campo o con acento se traducen de buena forma, en inglés le cortan letras o juntan las palabras, gran detalle.

It's one of if not the best single volume manga of all time.. Great story, great art and not a single Boring page

Excellent history, sad but impressive.

Great story covering the evolution of a family post World War 2 and how they are coping with the change of Japanese society and the influencing factors of the US on Japanese society and the incoming communist party as well during this time. Fairly twisted tale of the family preying upon itself and how the transition from an older feudal system to a modern democracy is also tearing at the fabric of the family as well. Great story in my opinion and recommend it to any who enjoy great story telling.
