Awesome
Another wonderful adventure with Polly, Huckle and Neil. Jenny always spins wonderful stories and this one doesn't disappoint. I could hardly put it down. This is an inspiring story about hardship, friendship, determination and love. It's about never giving up on yourself and or the circumstances you find yourself in. It's about accepting that if you BELIEVE you are AWESOME you will be! I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed The Little Beach Street Bakery. Take the time to read both books, I highly recommend them. Thanks Jenny for another good read.

thoroughly enjoyable!
A very entertaining quick read, with a harrowing ending. My only complaint would be that the story is VERY similar to the first book in the series, which is also lovely.

Love Jenny Colgan books!
Her books have just everything…..love, romance, grief, heartbreak, lovely descriptions of Cornwall, delightful characters, and a guaranteed happy ending. The Little Beach Street Bakery books have all of this and more. This book has an adorable Puffin the entire village loves, in addition to everything else.I can’t say much more about the storyline without giving away too much….read the back cover if you want more. So, suffice it to say….get this book, curl up in a comfy chair with a cup of tea and just have a terrific read. Enjoy!

Terrific!
This book is a perfect addition to the Little Beach Street Bakery series. It has all the favorites from the first book and a few new faces as well. There are a lot of reviews already so I'll keep mine fairly short. When something terribly sad happens, a new person appears at the bakery determined to change just about everything. Needless to say this doesn't settle well with Polly but she tries to make the best of things. However, things continue to spiral leaving Polly and Huck (as well as a few others but I'm trying to avoid spoilers!) have to make decisions that could change everything, or everything that hasn't already been changed. A lot happens in this book. It goes from one thing to another to another in a fashion that this author does splendidly. A good flow to the whole story. I really enjoyed it and if you liked the first one you'll like this since it follows right along. Since I said I'd keep this short I should probably stop babbling on and on. Great story and well worth reading.

My Summer Beach Book
A charming book about a charming place, with interesting characters, a funky heroine and her hunky boyfriend, and an original plot. Could there be a more perfect summer read?

Lovely summer read
This book is an enjoyable summer read. Jennny Colgan makes you cheer, cry and relate to her characters so that they become like old friends. I look forward to her next book which I hope is in the Little Beach Street Bakery series!

Absolutely loved this book!
It was lovely to immerse myself in Cornwall once more and meet all the characters from The Little Beach Street Bakery. This book continues the story and was an absolute joy to read.Pressures on Polly and Huckle's relationship, their home in the lighthouse, changes at the bakery and the reappearance of Selina all blend together wonderfully in a woven tale about life on a Cornish island. I find Jenny's descriptions so colourful and her characters are all so very three dimensional. In fact, I am often surprised when I look up, to find I am not actually in Mount Polbearne!Got very emotional over Neil - that Puffin deservedly stars in a children's book by Jenny now. Such a lovely little bird - eeping away :)Personally, I think these two books should form the foundation for a TV series! Think it would be wonderful.Really hope we can have at least one more book based in Mount Polbearne!

Lovely read
I 've already enjoyed the first book about the Little Beach Street Bakery and this one is a well-made sequel. I always sympathise with the characters and I simply adore Neil, the little puffin. It is an easy read, ideal for a weekend on the couch or during the holidays and it always makes me miss Cornwall.
