Amazing
These are a great investment. They’re sharp and knit smoothly. Hiya hiyas in general speed up my knitting, but the sharps speed things up even more.I’m a newer knitter, but have found knitting very addictive and good for reducing anxiety. I’ve used generic brands, Addi, Prym, Clover, Lykke, and Chiaogoo and 1000% recommend these. I think Chiaogoo is amazing as well, and their cables are better than these IMO (I have not tried their interchangeable cables though)—they’re more flexible, have no memory, and feel somewhat more like a thin electrical cord, while the Hiya Hiya cables feel a bit stiffer and more like a thin, firmer plastic. Almost like thin weed whacker trimmer line. They can be a little annoying to work with until a few rows are knitted, and then the swivels work a bit better to let the cord go down simply due to physics. These are also seamless.Depending on how you knit and possibly what you’re knitting (and some other variables lol) the connectors can begin to come undone during knitting. I’d recommend checking them after each row. I haven’t had them come fully undone doing it this way, but I’m also a newbie who doesn’t knit incredibly fast, so I’d keep that in mind.Otherwise, these are smooth, lightweight, and the sharper tips are amazing especially for thinner yarn, very textured, and ply yarns.Length was what caused me the most confusion when purchasing. There are 4” needles and 5”. I’d choose the 4” if you have smaller hands— I have fairly large hands for a woman and the 4” cramped up my hands very badly. The 4” takes 2” off (so the smallest cord + 4” needles = 16”, as opposed to the 5” needles which total 18” with the cord) and I’d assume would come in handy for certain projects, but I vastly prefer these. They fit nicely in my hands and I haven’t gotten cramping since I switched sizes.Otherwise, the sharps vs. regulars concerned me a little also since I tend to push my left needle down. I don’t have very sensitive skin on my palms, but I wouldn’t recommend the sharps to someone that does or someone that pushes down quite hard, or I imagine it might be painful or cause injury.Other than the needles, everything else in the description came with the set. The carrying case is gorgeous. It has a zippered pouch in the back and another one under the front flap. They’re not very large, but they’ll hold all the accessories that come with this plus a little more. The closure on all my Hoya Hiya cases isn’t great however, and I’m considering altering them so they stay closed. I think a magnetic or zip closure would be a little more practical (though magnetic might tear in time).Overall, I’ve been sitting on purchasing these for a year and am so glad I finally bought them. I’d definitely recommend them. As long as you know you like knitting and are committed to the hobby, then absolutely invest in some of these if you’ve been considering them.

Quality control of item needed.
There was a mistake with my set. I received two sets of size 11 needles in lieu of one set of 11 and one set of size 13.

BEST!
Why did I wait so long to buy these! Love the feel, the weight in my hands and the way the yarn glides on the needles. Easy interchanging - no key to tighten or loosen - just use the gripper, if you need.
