Actually used Retayne on quilting fabric
I washed dark green batik fabric with Retayne. Afterwards the water was a little dirty but there was no hint of green.

the purpose of this product was to hold printed ink on fabric for projects so they could be laundered in the future. several of the pieces I attempted to soak immediately bleached right out as soon as they were put in the highly diluted with water solution

I'm sure this is very good stuff, but the write up doesn't mention the fact that it's ONLY for top load washers...
