Textbook is as expected

Excited to find out my textbook for my course was so reasonable especially for a non rental.

This book is DANGEROUS! It promotes transphobia as standard of care to the next generation of mental health practitioners through use of wrong pronouns, and outdated narratives. It was very clear that these sections of the book were written without consult from any trans people whatsoever. The whole section on gender identity was outdated, down to even being included at all. Transgender was removed from the DSM 5 and replaced with Gender Dysphoria. The word "dysphoria" doesn't make a single appearance. It also erases nonbinary trans people and the entire concept of gender in the chapter is binarist and outdated. Spend your money elsewhere. If this book is required for a course, COMPLAIN. Trans people deserve better than this.
