Oh my goodness. Sweet Opal is loving her new life jacket. We tested it out in the pool before we headed to the beach and it worked perfectly! Her head stays above water and she has enough room to move around comfortably in or out of the water. Easy to put on and take off and the pink with polka-dots is so easy to see whether she's on the beach or in the water. Keep your pet safe, happy and stylish!

These looked adorable on our dogs, but what impressed me most was how well they actually fit. We have oddly shaped Frenchies and a chunky Chihuahua, and all of them were able to wear these comfortably without issues. The adjustable fit made a big difference, especially since French Bulldogs can be difficult to size properly. Once adjusted, the vests stayed secure without seeming restrictive. We also tested them out on the water, and my Chihuahua was able to jump out of the boat, swim comfortably, and get around easily while wearing it. That gave me a lot more confidence in both the comfort and functionality. The color and pattern are really cute in person too, so they look good while still being practical.

I have a Jack Russell Terrier who is slightly smaller than most within his breed. I read a TON of the reviews on the size small and size extra-small of this life jacket and waffled as to which was the appropriate size for my JT Rocky. Unfortunately my best guestimate was inaccurate. So I am going to give you the measurements that I have available to me (my dog and the vest) in the hopes that you will know which one to choose if you have a small dog. The size small was too large for my Jack Russell. Rocky, the amazing (and exceedingly handsome) Jack Russell Terrier: Weight: 14.5 pounds Neck measurement: 10" Chest measurement (measured directly behind the front legs): 18" Collar to tail measurement: 15" Collar to privates (called a peeper around here): 12" The last measurement is kind of important unless you truly desire that your likely already emasculated male dog lose all outward appearances of a male (or you desire your male or female dog to pee all over their life jacket). Honestly....I hadn't thought of this one when we purchased the vest but the size small life jacket kind of cramped his style as it was too long! Paws Aboard SMALL Neoprene Designer Doggy Life Jacket: Neck measurement (at it's smallest adjustment): 12" Neck measurement (at it's largest adjustment - velcro is not used - it is only the strap & buckle securing the opening): 18" The chest straps have a LOT of flexibility in them. I was able to secure the vest around my dog without any problem and it probably would have adequately kept him floating but he would have HATED it and it was definitely too big! As I mentioned before it invaded his peeper....it basically was too long and so it covered it over making him very aggravated. It is difficult to provide measurements here. I am hoping to be able to add some photos that will help. The life jacket itself is awesome! I love the velcro combined with the buckles and straps...extra security. The straps are thick and wide and covered with a breathable fabric. This will make it much more comfortable! The life jacket is well made and looks like it should hold up to a lot of water adventures. I have ordered the extra-small and am returning this life jacket to Amazon. Took my dog paddle boarding for the first time in this. It worked well when he fell in the lake! :-) The handle was helpful, as he is 100 lbs.

I do love it, because our little (well not so little Boston Terrier) looks so darn cute in it. I first purchased the medium I felt it was too big and bulky plus it covered way over his little private part and the under neck fold/piece just looked uncomfortable and big. The small fit good, I felt he moved well. Under belly has two very strong good size/coverage velcro straps and on top of those an adjustable clip strap . The back velcro strap fit perfect the one around his chest touched only about 1/2 an inch which was fine because of the clip strap and that fit fine and held it together -really no big deal for me that they did not velcro. However I really wonder if this would keep them from going under, HE LOVES the water but swims with his girlfriends a lab and golden retriever they are big and swim super far and he really can not keep up. He does follow them way out there and it seems just his little head stays up so I'm not sure if it really keeps him afloat -it does give me a tiny bit peace of mind but I do still wonder. He is 28lbs good size Boston Terrier but I felt the medium was just too big but maybe it would keep him better afloat but he would not be able to play around so well with all that bulk. If you are not sure I would just get 2 sizes and send one back- I really should have just done that an been done. I did read one review about the stitching and yes it was a poor job, some areas I may need to go over I will see how it holds up, but over all the stitching was closed but not the best job and crooked in places.

EDIT: Came back to say that post-beach day, I was correct in thinking the handle on the back felt cheap. I didn't think about the fact that the leash 'D' hook was attached to it though, and after my puppy pulled hard a couple of times chasing the waves on the shore, the whole handle ripped off with the leash, leaving her free on the beach. I was able to luckily grab her collar quick, but could have been a different story. If you have a dog who pulls this is NOT durable enough for them!!!!!!! Getting my dogs ready for a boat day, and they both need vests. I’ve been having trouble sizing them, so have tried on a few, and I will be ordering the second dog hers shortly! I have a wolf dog, as well as a pittie, so both ends of the spectrum. My dingo is really tall, long, and skinny! I ordered the large, and although she’s right on the cusp, it seemed a little too loose in the belly. She’ll need a medium, which I’m ordering. She’s roughly 50 lbs, and this gave her great coverage. My pittie, who is also roughly 50lbs, is pretty short and stubby. This perfectly sausaged her into safety. It’s seemed a lot thicker than expected, as well as the velcro around the tummy seemed a lot more secure. The snaps all seem really heavy duty and durable to make sure she stays secured. This also has a hook for a leash, which is helpful since they can’t be harnessed up. My only issue is the handles do not seem durable. And feel like they will rip right off the vest if we try to use them. I don’t know that we’d ever need to use this, but something to think about if you do want it as a feature! Overall, extremely happy with this and hold it holds up for our summer beach days!

La talla Ch le quedó perfecta, me encantó el velcro que tiene en la parte baja porque lo ajusta muy bien, del cuello le quedó perfecto, lo usaremos para su terapia en el agua, aún no lo usa, pero daré reseñas si flota bien, por lo demás en materiales muy bien, por el precio, estoy muy contenta ☺ y SAM también.
