You can always conquer things on your own, believe in yourself.
Thread and Thrum was an awesome book and I like how Wheatear goes through all different tasks. Personally my favourite character was Rough as he is tough, but nice and kind. It is a good inspiration for kids like me going up to High School and being more independent. The illustrations are amazing too.

A moral tale
This is an interesting book looking at the ethics of society through a background of a story about beads with personalities (good and bad) Written by someone who knows their grammar and sentence structure. The art work is meticulous in detail and beautifully executed. Suitable at any age over 9 (bright) Younger children may struggle with the concepts but I bought it for myself as I am a beader

Very imaginative
I thought that this was an incredible book, and I loved every minute of it. Jane Bower has an amazing imagination, and really thinks about what would be a concern to beads and how frightening it would be to see the hand. Len Bower has done incredible illustrations with very careful shading and beautiful bead patterns. I highly recommend this book to all ages and I was sad when it ended because I wanted it to go on!

Beads have a life of their own
A good yarn with excellently-drawn characters: you care about them and want to know what happens. You will like this story if you enjoy imaginary worlds, and if you are interested in why people behave as they do.
