Is the free standing sturdy?

Can i use three monitors in a l setup, with two monitors on the bottom and one monitor on top? if so, can i remove the upper left or right arm?

You can put only one on top, but you cannot remove the empty arm. You can fold the empty arm out of the way a bit, but you won’t be able to completely hide it. Also, you will not be able to center the single top monitor perfectly, so this setup will always look a bit odd. There are posts with center-mount brackets, but the center mount monitor typically mount directly to the upright, without the ability to make the adjustments you can with a swing arm. Finally, on the models that clamp to the desk tipping over will not a problem.

will these fit 4 Samsung syncmaster S22B420 monitors?

the Samsung syncmaster S22B420 monitors are 22-inch monitors, I have four 24-inch monitors on my unit and it works great.

Two questions: 1)who is the manufacturer? 2)will this optionally bolt through the desk eliminating the u shaped stand it is shown with?

First, there are three mounting options: 1) the U-bar, 2) edge of table mount (clamp) and 3) through-desk. All the parts for all three installations are included.I just checked the stand, the documentation and everywhere else I could look and there seems to be no manufacturer labels. So, I don't know who made it. It is HIGH quality and I am very pleased with it, if that helps.

Sturdy twin monitor stand

The item is sturdy, has two mounting options - either using a C clamp OR a plate for which a hole needs to be drilled into the surface.Pros: the screens can be turned about 180 degrees if you want to have a discussion.The main stand is locked securely and won't twist unless it's unlocked and repositioned.Cons: Wires are exposed.

Didn't support screen weight

Didn't support screen weight for 4 x 23" monitors, sagged and had to replace after only a few months of use. Base too flimsy. Better to go with two individual dual stands if using for a 4 screen setup and 3 individual dual stands if using a 6 screen setup.
