It was easy to install and I like the easy close and open feature. Just what I was looking for and it seems fairly sturdy.

Love this gate. Bought it once my LO first became mobile & it has lasted & worked perfectly until she turned 3 & figured out how to unlatch it. She just turned 3 a week ago & that was it. ❤️Inexpensive & probably one of the better ones at this price point, sturdy, a bit taller than other, basic baby gates, easy to use & install, great for doorways/places that are a bit wider or unusual.... 😫The only things I don't like about it, & they're not a big deal... having to put holes in your walls. Initially I was looking for a tension gate, I guess, but the width of space I needed it for was a bit wider than those stretched to. And we do use a tension gate in another part of the house, but the LO keeps knocking it down/shaking it (with all her little might), we actually had to replace it & the newer one is starting to mess up again. Installing directly to wall is necessary for a more sturdy gate. And also, fingers/hands can get pinched opening the gate, but it hasn't happened many times in the 2.5 years we've used it. Just be careful. If you're considering getting this gate to keep your baby/ies out of a certain area, it's a terrific gate, but just know that it will only last until about 3 years of age.

This works very well and makes our lives so much easier. Our dogs sleep in the kitchen, and the gate keeps them confined at night as one is a puppy and who knows what she might get up to! I also use it if I'm busy in the kitchen and need to keep them out. The gate is so easy to use, just extend it and hook it up. The latch part of the hardware is simple, and could be a little bigger and better, but it does the job so we are happy.

I've purchased two of these types of gates and I really like how they are easy to use, simple to install, fit into a variety of spaces with little to no problem, and have so far proven to be resistant to child attempts to open them. However, the one problem that I have is the plastic parts. This can get beat up they can bend and prevent the gate from sliding on its tracks. (This is hard to explain without one knowing how these gates work.) This prevents me from easily opening the gate so it's not exactly convenient. I would happily remove the offending piece of plastic if it wasn't bolted onto the gate in a way I can't easily undo. The plastic parts are overall a weak point of the gate. They have cracked near the ends so I have covered those with electrical tape to stop any skin getting pinched. The small pieces on the inside to prevent the tops from sliding too far have also needed to be reattached. My second gate is also just a hair off of where it should be with the latch. The screws should be placed a bit higher to compensate but it's too late now that I've installed them since they only need to go a tiny ways. (This is a manufacturing flaw. I had no problems using the measurements given with my first one.) Honestly, I love these gates for all the former reasons, but they are not perfect. If a way around the plastic parts could be figured out they would be the gate I would recommend them 100%. NOTE* These will not work at the top of stairs since they can bend when a kid pushes on them and a space could open up for them to get stuck in. Holes where you install them are also a necessary evil.

This is a great gate, the dogs whine sometimes when we close it, but that will happen no matter what gate you choose! We love the design, my husband has marvelled at it several times. The install was easy; I suggest double checking the height measurements on your wall before drilling and screwing in the eye hooks, you want the gate just barely above the floor so it can sit easily on the floor when it's open, don't make it hang, it will wear out faster. The only mini-issue is the moment of time it takes to reinsert the gate hooks into the eye hook holes when you are closing the gate, but it also works to shut it without actually connecting the hooks to the eye hook holes, but some of our dogs can open it if we do that! Perhaps a long piece of wood along the wall on the opening side would block the gate from being pushed open by dogs (and babies?)... It's great if you don't have a square opening, because the eye hooks allow the gate to be at an angle. Be careful if you have kids, this gate could be pushed and bent sideways if they smashed into it quite hard. Thank you for the lovely gate! We're ordering two more.
