Yes, it comes with a power adapter. The power snapper also has the cord covered with the metal conduit.

Ultraviolet content of sunlight Is there in this lamp?

There is no UV content in this light and most manufacturers who claim to have UV do not either. (keep reading for proof) The bottom line is that it is physically impossible (as in the laws of physics) to simulate natural sunlight with any type of light bulb. The lies of lamp manufacturers have been proven and published by independent testing labs for close to 20 years but it is a VERY long and complicated discussion that fries the brain of most people. Is this a uv sun lamp, or just a regular led lamp?

" M&M bird lights feature a proprietary Full Spectrum LED, without UV" Birds need UVA, UVB light. Without UV...then it isn't Full Spectrum. Falsely advertised, glad I read the fine print before buying this. I suppose they can get away with it by using the word "proprietary".

Thanks Tim. Any timer (most times called lamp timers) will work and you can buy them anywhere which is why I don't sell them, who can compete with Walmart? They basically come in 2 styles, manual and programmable. My recommendation is to get a programmable one as some of the manual ones can be noisy.
