We bought this Silentnight mattress, along with a medium to soft mattress, same brand, after throwing out our ten year old mattress that I swear was stuffed with pebbles from some beach. We planned to put the medium mattress on the base, and the medium soft one on top of that. And it was very comfortable, except that with the medium to soft mattress on top we found ourselves constantly rolling toward the center of the bed.We changed the method, and put the medium soft on the base, and the medium one on the top. It was absolutely a blissful night's sleep. My great aunt, whom has arthritis at the base of her spine did the same, and with the same method of placement; it has eased her pain incredibly, and she's now telling all and sundry about it. She was clearly pleased, and we are delighted for her sake. Thank you Silentnight!These mattresses are very cheap, but well made and extremely comfortable, and I would highly recommend them.

I've always had spring matresses before and always found that they start well but fairly quickly become uncomfortable - even harmful as the springs break through the covering.So I decided to give memory foam a try.Unrolled it and allowed 24 hours for it to expand then another two or three days for the smell to fade - then I lay on it and was seriously impressed by how comfortable it was - so good!!! So much better than even a new spring matress.I discovered today that I've had it for over two years and it's just as good as it was when I bought it - seriously impressed.

softer than expected

I chose a rolled mattress to make it easy to get up to our first floor flat. We already had a single Silentnight 3 Zone single mattress in a child's room which was adequate but decided to go for the slightly more expensive 7 zone for our double bed. Really delighted with it. There was almost no chemical smell when we opened it, unlike some brands (we once had a Kayflex one which smelled literally for weeks). It plumped up nicely and is really comfortable - softer than the 3 Zone, which is what I wanted. Very happy with it and such a good price for a double mattress!

Update.... . Few months down the line and its killing us. Had to get a cheap matress to put under it until we can afford a thicker memory matress!Only had one nights sleep on it but my god what a difference from my old mattress. It's a lot thinner than I thought but so firm and comfortable. My partner and I aren't the lightest of people so I worried that I had wasted money on this productA great nights sleep had by both of us

DOUBLE PLUS MATTRESSMATTRESS NEVER EXPANDED TO THE CLAIMED 8 in THICKNESS (reached 6in on good side after 1 week)CORNERS DAMAGED AND MIS-SHAPEN REACHING ONLY 3.5 in THICKNESSps i have owned two memory foam mattresses prior with no issues i found on Silent night website that matteresses should be unwrapped at a maximum time of 6 months after purchase to ensure performance of the mattress and this makes me wonder have amazon had these mattresses in a warehouse for many many months !!!!!!!!!UPDATE - got a replacement sent out and to my horror also faulty with same issues !!!! both have now been returned for refund !!!!(PS what a hassle to get the items picked up multiple phone calls and issues with the whole process! i will never order large items of amazon again -i also told them the mattress should be with drew from sale to save other customers the same trouble ive encountered yet they are still selling them shocking clearly don't care!!!!)

Comfortable and firm, took a few nights to get use to. Only as my last mattress was very soft springs.The wife loves it. A train could roll over it and she would not notice.I'm a very very very light sleeper she moves I know about it.When she goes to sleep in front of TV I'll have the bed all to myself OMG what a great sleep out like a light and don't wake up till morning.

I have a single version of this, and it’s proved to be very comfy over the past year. Upgrading to a double now, and the comfort continues to amaze me, I had no hesitation getting this one after my good experience with the single.It is not springy or bouncy, but feels very much like a much more expensive Dunlopillo (which I have also had in the past).Being ‘rolled’ it’s much easier to handle on delivery than a full spring mattress would be,
