Sena30K-01D Motorcycle Bluetooth Communication System with Mesh Intercom - Dual Kit

Have a 20s, it's awesome, downgraded to the 30k recently. All my friends have the 20s. When when using bluetooth intercom with them, there is no audio multitasking so no music etc. The unit disconnects from phone bluetooth to use intercom. Audio multitasking only works in mesh mode with other 30ks. Sound quality is also horrible with bluetooth intercom. Sena used the basic 10 chip for this unit and focused more on their mesh system. Huge fail sena , HUGE! Only buy this unit if you are going to pair with 30k users, and even then the connection quality is sub par. It cuts in and out and gets very fuzzy. My advise, go with scala or just get the 20s. Wait for a better unit. Sorry sena you really dropped the ball. Love your other products though. I wish i was warned before purchasing, so im doing my due diligence. Just to recap, NO AUDIO MULTITASKING IN BLUETOOTH INTERCOM MODE. With the 20s you can take phone calls, listen to music in the backround and get gps instructions while using the intercom. It lowers the music when someone talks.. not with the 30k no phone calls music or gps. Unless u only use it with other 30ks

Received within 3 days . Exactly as expected. I selected the 30K over the other Sena mainly to talk to my wife when we ride together so the issue between the 30's cutting off the music when used with other 20's or 10's won't apply. My research seemed to imply Sena is going all out on the Mesh intercom , so we decided to go for the newer options. I will need to spend more time to figure out the way to upload the updates and adjust the sounds of the GPS and music when used simultaneously with the mesh intercom but all in all, it looks promising. We went for a ride yesterday and the Mesh intercom worked very well. It practically started to work as soon as the switch was put on. We have modular helmets, the ride out picked up some wind chatter over the mics but we seem to have corrected the issue by turning the end of the wand mic away from our mouth. The inside area around the mouth in my helmet resonates well enough that turning the mic actually removed all wind or breath chatter and we could hear each other very well , even at high speeds. I am entirely satisfied. When my phone GPS gives voice directions , the entire intercom cuts off but I am hopefull I will correct this with adequate settings, all I need to do is give it more attention and time to figure out. Regardless, for me, the intent was to talk to my passenger and it has done the job with honors.

What we found out is they will drain quicker in very cold weather, along with when we play music. If only using for communication between sleds, they were good for about 4 hours between charges in the cold. We tried other brands, and recommend this one.

very poor instructions on everything, you would think that for what you pay for this item that they could get you good instructions so you can use them whit out the hours of trying to get them to work. Still having trouble with hooking up with the motorcycle every time some times prefect next time you have fight with them to hook up
