Beautiful book!
I’ve heard good things about this series of books and reading through it with my kids was so fun! It goes through all the facts about seed types and their cycle to becoming a plant. The artwork is so pretty!

Love the series
This series is beautifully illustrated and written in a way that gives the child a deeper understanding of what she/he is interested in. Well written and technical enough but keeps their attention. Gifted to 4.5yo granddaughter.

Awaken the little gardener within your child
This little book will inspire your child to want to plant some seeds! The way the books illustrations bring such whimsy and magic to the seeds and sprouts is so charming! The Family Treasure Nature Encylopedias series is wonderful, charming, and beautiful! My children and I love these books. A seed is sleepy is a gorgeous book! The illustrations are quite beautiful. This book is chock full for great information for learning. The way this series is written makes it easy for younger and older children to enjoy. The way the words just whimsically dance across the page is beautiful. A great asset to your home library or homeschool library.

Wanted the images to be the focus, had more text than egg book
I liked this book for many reasons: it presented seeds in a way that i feel is approachable to children and I liked that it included more than typical seeds. There was additional text to read with facts on most pages. There was more text in this book than the egg book which means this book is not appropriate for preschool whereas I do use the egg book with preschoolers. I also felt the increase in text, though being very educational, took away from focusing on the images and comparing the seeds. Some of the larger seeds were cut off on the edges of the page so you could not tell their true size in order to make room for the text. I also took off one star because the cursive font (the main text for the book) was difficult for the children to read and they needed help. If you use the book with children 7+ who have been taught cursive, then this book should be fine.

Science and art together
The illustrations in this book are excellent, sampling plants from around the world, near and far. The writing is brief, but informative. Suitable for children, enjoyable for adults.

Tolle Illustrationen & Inhalt!

Beautiful book, solid facts
I just love books that are both factual and beautiful, and this is absolutely one of them. Really fills you with a sense of wonder at the magic of the natural world. Text is very accessible even though it describes complex things and illustrations are simply beautiful. If you enjoy this one, you'll also love the Nature Storybooks series published by Walker - similar blend of beautiful book and fascinating facts.

Recomiendo, estupendo
