I like that Venus razors provide sturdy reusable handles which are better for the environment than disposable ones. I find the 5 blade heads give a very smooth leg shave and also they tend to last a lot longer before needing replacement. That makes them worth the price. With this replacement pack I can probably go an entire year before repurchasing. I wish they were more eco friendly in their packaging, though-- a lot of plastic and tape which seems unnecessary.

I was using Schick Quattro--had been for years--but with the last few purchases of blade replacements noticed that the blade quality was very poor (they seemed to be dull out of the box and actually hurt to shave with). For those that were not already dull, one or two shaves solved that problem. I went looking for another shaving system and tried the Venus Embrace based upon the reviews. Best shave ever. Seriously. Close, smooth, no razor burn, and no need to keep shaving over the same spot repeatedly. I do use a shaving cream with the blades (I tried the Gillette Satin Care--it was ok; I am now using Cremo). I have also used plain old ordinary Dove soap. The blades are a bit expensive, BUT you can probably get 10 shaves out of one cartridge. I usually change once a week and shave daily. When I change, the blades are not significantly dull. It's a keeper. Wish I had tried it sooner.

This is the only product I can use that won't break out my skin. Leaves skin feeling smooth for 2-3 shaves before having to refill.

Good replacement blades that easily snap onto the original handle. Size is just right to fit tight curves. Moisturizing bar helps prevent razor burn. They seem to last as long as any other blade I’ve used. Good design for a close shave.
