For the price, this set isn't bad. The wood base is pretty nice, the pieces fit well and are stable. The block is well machined and the dies seem sturdy and durable. There are a few QC issues though. Starting with the block: one of the corners came bent and one side has some gouges in it that were made after the machining process. One of those gouges created a burr on the edge of a round which will cause issues using that size round. As for the dies, a few of them have flats on the top of them and it seems I was given two 11mm dies instead of a 10mm. So, if I were making a living off of using these, I would pay more and get better quality. For a hobbyist they're not bad.

I ordered this because I wanted to have a dapping set in my studio for my jewelry making and metalwork. I was pleasantly surprised by this set. Thre price is actually very good. The base is wooden with the sizes marked out on it; the dapping/doming block is very sturdy and quite weighty; the dapping punches are very well made, and there is a lot of weight to them. I think these will serve my needs very well! :)

So pleased with this dapping set and use often with my art and craft business. The packaging was excellent as came oiled to prevent rust. I had priced at local retailers and their cost was much higher. This did take me some time to learn to use as I am a novice to metal forming. However, I bought the smaller set and wish I had gone ahead and purchased the larger one. The photo shows dapping on one of my Viking jewelry pieces which uses annealed copper for the larger pendant disc. Excellent product.

Everything arrived perfectly. Nice wooden holder and super dapping/doming tools. All tools are smooth and were coated in machine oil to prevent rusting. I have used them in a couple of craft projects already and I’m so happy to have this wonderful set to try new techniques. This very heavy set was packaged extremely well for shipping. Thank you.
