Wagan Dome USB Rechargeable Lantern

SUPER light! Small and lightweight, super powerful for the price and size, really handy to use as it has different hooks and comes with the charging cable built in - one less thing to lose. Has different brightness settings and the magnet is a very cool feature as we can stick it to the back of our car while searching for things in the boot. Haven’t seen loss of power yet and we’ve been using it for a few months, running down the battery and recharging.

We love this product when we are going for camping

I started out shopping for lanterns that can be solar-charged via a built-in solar panel. But whenever you shop for an item, Amazon presents you with a couple of lists: "Items similar to this item," "Customers also shopped for....," etc., and that's where I slipped up - because some of the items supposedly "similar" to what I was looking for were in fact quite different: In this case, lacking the ability to re-charge via solar energy. It's not the item's fault. This little lamp is OK for what it is. But it does not offer solar charging, which pretty much limits its utility in case of emergencies, or for camping (unless you have a separate solar panel from which to charge it. My mistake was in assuming what I was expecting, rather than reading the description and noting the absence of any reference to solar charging.

I have to say I am impressed with this little light. It looks and feels rugged. Beautiful design and bright light for its size. Can't wait to take it camping. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the package in which the dome light came in was open. It seems someone took a sharp object and cut the bottom out. The light seems to be brand new with not signs of wear or tear. I'll update you one of put it to the test.

I'm very pleased with this little light. I bought it to replace to the old gas lantern I used for decades in the old wall tent. I will probably eventually buy a second one of these.I like the two brightness settings. The high setting is bright enough for reading or cooking. The low setting would be good for saving battery life for general lighting. I like the double hooks on the top, which will work well for hanging this light securely on a rope strung from the tent peak without tying or untying anything. Because I wouldn't want to drain this light's battery, I would use it to charge my phone only in emergency, but the option to partially charge my phone if needed is nice.Very nice combination of light and lantern.

This became my primary light for around the campground due to it's lightweight, bright light and easy to recharge.As others mentioned, the lower light setting is not much dimmer than the primary setting and proved useless.Also, I would prefer a red light night light instead of a flashing white light or both settings. I did not use the feature to charge a phone from this device as it was pointless as either device would be charged from the car's USB port.

These are great compact and versatile camping lights! I purchased 2 of the for my picnic table canopy to eliminate my old Coleman lantern. At least twice as bright and no fuel smell at dinner time. With brightness on high, more than enough light for my 12 x 12 canopy. I use one until it dies, then use the second one with the first one recharging. Works great.Also good for home power outages. With the magnetic back, you can attach to kitchen appliances. Would definitely buy again
