5 Pounds Krusteaz Buttermilk Biscuit Mix (One Unit)

What I really liked about Krusteaz Buttermilk Biscuit Mix is how simple it was to make my first ever biscuits. I had for years been using a competitor's brand, and which had been used by my family going back several generations. (My Grandmother had a small cafe on the Gulf of Mexico and used to serve fresh homemade biscuits to the fisherman who visited her cafe on a daily basis using these competitors brand biscuit mix) Now, I have found Krusteaz Buttermilk Biscuit Mix, which to my surprise was even easier to make and my first batch, cooked in my Ninja XL Airfryer, came out so crispy and fresh, I had to write this review to share my excitement. I still love my competitor's biscuit mix, but not having any of their biscuit mix I wanted to try Krusteaz Buttermilk Biscuit Mix. I'm so happy to purchase the Krusteaz Buttermilk Biscuit Mix. By purchasing the 5lb. box I have enough mix for a couple of months, which is good since after retirement I now live on a budget.

that you send out these questionaires a bit early. I got the product last night, I haven't had any time to even open the box. That being said, it is a good product that I have ordered before.

I studied a few videos in making scones and used this wonderful baking mix to do it this morning and it produced a wonderful batch of scones that was easy to make and delicious.It is a heavy mix so sift it but it is adaptable for all baking needs that can be whipped into cakes in a jiffy.Highly recommend.(and or scones et al)

I tried a small recipe and I had to add more flour to the wet mix. There were 20 and they were great. The regular mix was very, very wet and had to add more flour to be able to flat to cut. I don;t know how much flour I added...I will check it out next time.

I totally love how convenient this Krustez biscuit mix is. Everything you need to make biscuits is already combined in this mix and all you need to do is add water to it. Although this 5 pound box was made for restaurants for making a bulk amount of biscuits, I had no problem figuring out how much is needed for making just 3 for one person. If you are an experienced baker who has made any type of biscuits, and especially dropped biscuits, just look for the consistency in the dough that you are used to when mixing in the water. Since I only make 3 for myself, I just throw the mixed dough into my small convection toaster oven and it's done within 12 minutes. I even add in a little shredded sharp cheese or have even tried adding powdered cheese and garlic powder to change the flavor of the biscuit. This was a very good purchase for me as it gives me the convenience of making a very quick meal.

I love these Krusteaz Professional mixes (already have a box of their sweet cream pancakes, which are superb). When you open the package you get a distinct smell of baking powder, and they must be loaded with it because they rise well in the oven and are light and fluffy. I brush the tops with a little melted butter before baking and I prefer the end result over Popeye's biscuits, which are too dense and doughy for my taste. These are perfect. I've been using water to mix the dough, I might try buttermilk at some point but they're excellent just using water. The dough rolls out beautifully and handles easily. This mix makes it so simple and fast to have hot biscuits for dinner or to have them for breakfast with a dab of preserves. For the price and the volume involved it's a bargain.

My husband makes excellent biscuits with this mix!! We bought gravy for it and YUM! Also great with butter and honey or butter and preserves. Tastes a lot like KFC. Arrived fast and in great condition. Thanks!

Krusteaz products are always very good. However very disappointed since I just ordered this in June and see the expiration date is Nov. of this year. Also, need instructions on making smaller batches of biscuits.
