Dieses Objektiv ist mir eigentlich mehr "über den Weg gelaufen" als dass ich es gesucht hätte. ich war eigentlich mehr auf der Suche nach einem günstigen Weitwinkel, dass sich als manuelles Objektiv auf einen Shift-Adapter setzen lässt. Als ich die Beschreibung des Objektives mit seinen Beispielfotos und schließlich Videos auf Youtube studiert hatte, war mir klar - diese Linse ist einzigartig, wenn sie hält was sie verspricht. Also habe ich mich durchgerungen und es bestellt. Als das Objektiv dann ankam und ich es auspackte, wurde ich von einem sorgsam vakuumverpackten und schweren Gegenstand überrascht. Immerhin hatte ich China-Qualität erwartet. Auch ein kleines Prüfzertifikat lag bei. Alle Einstellringe liefen satt und präzise. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Am ersten Tag ließ sich das Objektiv aus heute noch unergründlichen Gründen nicht shiften!?! Irgend etwas klemmte hartnäckig. Mehrere Versuche über den Tag scheiterten. Am Folgetag plötzlich bewegte sich der Schlitten, sehr präzise und gut einstellbar.Die optische Qualität ist klasse! Wer schon einmal versucht hat Nahaufnahmen mit einem Weitwinkelobjektiv zu machen, weiß, dass die Qualität meist miserabel wird, je näher man dem Objekt kommt. Dies ist ein Makro-Weitwinkel und es zeichnet sowohl im Unendlichen als auch kurz vor der Linse super scharf und kontrastreich! Auch kaum Reflexe bei direktem Sonnenlicht. Die Verzeichnung ist relativ stark und nimmt im Nahbereich zu, ist aber bei naturaufnahmen nicht störend. Wer Architektur aufnehmen will, der sollte genau hinschauen, ob die Verzeichnung tolerierbar ist oder nicht.Zunächst hatte ich die Linse nur an einer Nikon D300 (APSC), um das Verstellen zu testen. Später dann an einer Nikon D3 (Fulframe). Zu meinem Erstaunen konnte ich sogar im Vollformat noch den vollen Verstellweg nutzen, was einem irrsinnigen Bildwinkel entspricht!! (hier dann mit leicht abgedunkelten Ecken und stark anwachsender Verzeichnung, aber das akzeptiert man für diese unerwartete Zugabe und sofern es nur Wolken oder Blattwerk betrifft, fällt es gar nicht erst auf).Alles funktioniert vollständig manuell, die Blende muss vorgewählt werden, zum Scharfstellen (sofern nötig) muss eben aufgeblendet werden usw. Alles in Allem kann man sagen, dass es ein tolles Objektiv ist, dass zwar etwas Eingewöhnung aufgrund der voll-manuellen Bedienung erfordert, dafür aber mit unglaublichen Bildern belohnt.

Great lens in overall. Hard to focus though as it's very dark looking through my viewfinder with this lens. Also the lens hood is useless, as the lens is such a wide angle that the lens hood ends up being in the photos.

Not auto focus lens., Otherwise it deserve higher rating.

Lens is solid, heavy and seems well-built. The plastic petal lens hood, however, is extremely fussy and difficult to attach and detach. If you are interested in the shift movement for architectural use, (my primary motivation for this purchase) you should know that the shift function ONLY works with the camera in the horizontal orientation. Unlike other shift lenses I have used, this lens does not have a 360-degree rotating lens mount that also allows for shift movement in vertical or other orientations. As an example, if you want a vertical photograph of a tall building using the shift movement, you are out of luck. Also, the shift mechanism is fairly crude; it is a simple lever lock that allows you to shift the lens up or down, but you must push it manually with your finger, there is not a rotating screw type of adjustment. The lens locks with detents into full up, full down, or middle positions. Intermediate shift positions are by friction-fit only, no way to lock it in. The shift function is somewhat limited on full-frame cameras as vignetting appears, but it seems to allow for full shift movement on aps-c and m4/3 formats. The lens will focus extremely close, right up to the front element. Barrel distortion is relatively high, about a +10 correction setting in Adobe products. If I had to do it over again, I would instead buy a high-quality shift adapter, and an appropriate lens.

Muy buena calidad y fantástica construcción. Eso sí, el ser completamente manual te obliga a un esfuerzo para enfocar y exponer correctamente. Al hacer macros, el uso de flash es obligatorio al disparar y disponer de una luz led para enfocar casi también.Los resultados pueden ser impresionantes. Como muestra la primera prueba, iluminada con dos flases (primer plano y plano medio) y directamente de cámaraCon un anillo inversor se pueden conseguir relacciones de aumento muy importantes. Cuelgo otra foto a una regla milimetrada tomada con una APSC que permite hacerse una idea de la magnificación que se puede conseguir.
