Would NOT recommend buying ANY turbo from this company!!!
Purchased for my 2003 wrx. All provided instructions for prelubrication were followed by my local Subaru dealership I had do the work since I was deployed. They called me and notified me that upon first start up the turbo was smoking. I tried to reach out to jm turbo when I had the opportunitys to. Like I said being deployed didn't allow a lot of time but each time I did I got the same guy answering the phone. Giving me the same run around over and over. The head mechanic at the Subaru dealership I had do the work even made attempts to reach out to JM turbo and said he got the same run around with the same guy multiple times before he realized they just don't care about the product they sell or their customers. Was super disappointed with the customer service from this company. The man answering the phone must not like his job or he must deal with a lot of the same calls all day and is just aware of the terrible product they are selling to people. Wouldn't recommend this turbo to anyone even if they were giving them out for free. Any company that is unwilling to stand behind their product and wants to do nothing to help their customers that are giving them the money that in turn puts food on their table is not one I would recommend to anyone. Terrible product, terrible company.

Good buy. Might require small Adjustments
Fit my 02 wrx wagon well. Had to drill out one of the holes for the down pipe studs. But no big deal with a decent drill. But it was mounting on a down pipe I bought on Amazon. Works great.

CHECK ACTUATOR ARM!
UPDATE 12/29/2018Miles on tubo: 40,500Miles on chasis: 175,000Still boosting strong no leaks anywhere. I'm planning to sell the car soon so I reinstalled my downpipe. Checked the shaft for play and it's still SOLID. Very surprised and pleased at this turbo.---------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE 01/05/2017Miles on tubo: 15,500Miles on chasis: 150,000Turbo still boosting. I just took off the stock inlet to install a silicone one due to a leak. I examined the shaft on the compressor and it was still tight and spins freely. Now running at Stage 2 power levels.--------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE 02/16/2016Miles on turbo: 7,000Miles on chasis: 132,000Turbo still working good. Will update once I hit 10,000mi on turbo.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------INITIAL INSTALL: 06/15/2015Miles on chasis: 135,500Good value for the money! I ordered on a Tuesday and it showed up Friday with FREE delivery too! That's FAST!WARNING: Wastegate actuator arm was REALLY tight! Out of the box, my stock WRX hit 20psi in 2nd gear! After readjusting it's hitting normal boost. Check and adjust that arm before installing!Otherwise the fit is pretty decent. The stock support bracket for the oil line didn't fit right so I left it off. Turbo outlet is also a slightly different angle that the WRX stock turbo. That means if you have the stock plastic intercooler Y-pipe, you may have to fight a bit to get it connected. Those with silicone hoses should have no issues.

Fit well but is much louder than the OEM,

Bad seals
Bad seals on first start - oil everywhere. Stay away, do not buy.

Broken out of the box
Good shipping time as Amazon stocks it, but the wastegate actuator was all sorts of screwed up.Normally an actuator arm, when off of the wastegate pin, hovers over or just behind the pin. When it's behind the pin (i.e. arm is shorter) it adds preload, which increases boost. Hovering directly over the pin means no preload, which means stock boost which, for this turbo, should be around 8psi. It should also be pretty easy to pull it off. What I got, however, was not that. I put it on, fired it up, and immediately was running 25+psi (boost gauge maxed of at 20psi, needle was well past that). I decided that was REALLY bad for my engine so I pulled the wastegate arm off to see where it was at and adjust it. I had to pry it up with a flathead screwdriver (which was difficult) and when it came off it popped back about 2" and to the right (looking from the actuator towards the end of the arm) about an inch. If you look at the picture of the bottom of the turbo where the arm comes out of the actuator you can see the arm coming straight out. In the one I got, looking at the picture, it was pressed against the right side of the hole in the actuator. I bent the arm and adjusted it out so that it hovered directly over the wastegate pin, which should have given me a max of 8psi.It. Instead I got 15psi with consistent spikes to 25+psi. I decided the wastegate was broken and put my old one on to confirm. Now, with my old wastegate, I'm running a small amount of preload and consistently getting 11psi. No spikes. Here's the kicker. I called the company and explained the situation to them and they said since my car was modified they couldn't do anything. First, the only modification made was replacing the stock turbo (which crapped out) with your turbo (which is supposed to be a direct replacement). Everything else is stock. Second, your turbo assembly came from the factory broken. Modifications to the car have nothing to do with that. I confirmed that by putting my OLD actuator on and it worked perfectly. All I wanted was a new actuator, not even a new turbo, but they wouldn't do anything. AND there's supposed to be a warranty on it. Huh.Never buying from this company again. The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is because the turbo itself is still doing good, although I've noticed quite a bit of oil in the intercooler which wasn't there before. Some oil is normal, but not a lot. That typically means the seals are failing on the turbo. On the brand new turbo... Something's not right...The installed picture is the actuator arm after I attempted to fix it. This is with no preload. Notice how the arm is coming straight out of the actuator, then angles. Before I bent it the arm was coming out pointed towards the bottom of the picture, had a sharp angle up, then another sharp angle down to the pin. There was more of the arm showing before the first bend too. The stock wastegate's arm is straight, no bends. The other two pictures are the company's stock pictures. Notice how the bends in the arm of the sick pictures look very similar to the ones in the picture I took...after I fixed it. Again, something isn't right...
