Yes this has an IP55 rating for outdoor use. It has a wall-mount that allows you to mount direct to a flat surface, or you can grab some worm clamps to mount it to a pole. It must be mounted upright and with the plastic wire guard it comes with, or the ports may be exposed direct to the weather.

Can this be used outdoor and to power 4 unifi g4 pro cameras

It should, I have it powering (1) G4 Pro (2) G3 Flex and (1) AP-AC-mesh AP using this POE injector - POE-50-60W Might want to double check on total power it can provide and compare to the G4 Pro's requirements

Is this a standalone switch or does it need programming through unifi controller? i just need to power cams (non unifi)

It is much easier to deal with if you use the Unifi controller and program which ports have PoE, etc. if you want a stand-alone switch with PoE that will work out of the box, I recommend the USW-8-60 (4 PoE ports), or the USW-8-150 (8 PoE ports and option for fiber uplink). Those two switches don’t need any programming out of the box if you’re only using PoE functions.

Can this be used out door and to power 3 unifi g4 pro cameras?

It should work but keep in mind this will only use power from POE connection from another POE switch or a POE extender

Great Little Switch runs without PSU

This is a great switch its powered by PoE ++ for full power but even on PoE + it powers up and can power less powerfull PoE devices so I ran a few phones off ours. So Compact and still fully manageable with VLan etc.

Ich habe mehrere USW-Flex in Kombination mit einer Dream Machine im Einsatz und bin absolut begeistert. Wer einmal auf das UniFi-Ökosystem setzt, will die Kontrolle nicht mehr missen. Was den USW-Flex so stark macht: Perfekte Übersicht: In der UniFi-Oberfläche hat man die volle Kontrolle und weiß zu jeder Zeit genau, welches Gerät an welchem Port angeschlossen ist und wie viel Traffic fließt. Stromversorgung über PoE: Da der Switch selbst per PoE versorgt wird (PoE-In), spart man sich den typischen Kabelsalat und braucht kein zusätzliches Netzteil vor Ort. Das macht die Installation an unzugänglichen Stellen, wie dem Dachboden oder in Außenbereichen, extrem einfach. Stabilität: Die Switche laufen absolut stabil und integrieren sich nahtlos in das bestehende Netzwerk-Management. Works as expected

I bought this to make it easier to wire up multiple POE cameras outside my house. Much easier than running multiple cables through walls. The switch comes with a wall mount and a pole mount, plus screws, drywall plugs, and zip ties. The wall mount is slightly magnetized in each corner, not sure why. I used the PlusPOE 65W Ultra Gigabit POE Injector to power the switch. Note that you need to flip a setting in the Unifi controller for the switch to properly pass power to the switch ports. Once I did that, everything worked beautifully. Beware of using outdoor Ethernet cables with large boots on them, they won't fit inside the cable cover so you'll need to remove the boot.
