The Big Book of Bugs

we love this book! such a great book with great illustrations, great quality, and perfect facts to go on each page. perfect for the kiddo book lover

My student requested a "book about bugs" and this one was recommended to me by MULTIPLE boy moms. It is advanced for my reader, which I knew it would be, but I bought it so that he could appreciate it as he got better at reading. The words are smaller print and intwined into the pictures. Every page is very detailed so he was VERY intrigued! It also has an index which was a fun teaching oppertunity! VERY adorable pictures I must say!!

This book is fun to look at and has lots of little facts about the insects. Has fun ideas for children to do. It is a larger book then I thought, which is even BETTER! It's a great book to sit and read with children/grandchildren. So many things to find. So many great illustrations! I love it! I bought it as a gift for a friends grandchild, who is fasinated with bugs. Now I want one for my grand kids!!! I will be ordering another one!

I got The Big Book of Bugs as a gift for my 5-year-old niece, and it was a huge hit! The illustrations are bright, colorful, and engaging—she was instantly drawn to the pages. It does a wonderful job of introducing bugs in a fun, non-scary way, which is perfect for young children who are just getting curious about the world around them. The language is simple enough for early readers to follow along, and there’s so much to look at on every page. She especially loved the ladybugs and butterflies, and now she’s constantly pointing out bugs in the garden like a little expert! It’s also a great size—big enough for her to lay on the floor and flip through easily, and the pages are sturdy and well-made.

This book is big and beautiful! It’s an oversized hard cover book with 60+ pages of lovely illustrations and details about creepy crawly creatures! The pages feel like high quality paper and it’s bound very well. It provides plenty of detail without overwhelming amounts of text. (Some bug books are very busy with text blurbs all over and lots of pictures which makes it hard to follow) but this book is so easy to read and flows very well with the pictures. I purchased this for a 5 year old, but I’d say this could intrigue children ranging from 3-10 at least. It’s visually engaging and also provides information in a child friendly way. Absolutely buy this book! I also purchased the Big Sticker Book of Bugs to go with this which is equally as beautiful and awesome! I highly recommend this book!

So much good info about bugs written in a kid friendly way! My kids make me read them this every day lol. And now my 4 year old will randomly tell me facts she remembers about bugs from this book

Just what my review title indicates - love the graphics and the unique brief facts about the bugs. After looking at at copy from the local library, I ordered a copy for my granddaughters and great grands. All big time bug lovers.

Pictures draw in the kids to learn about the bugs around them. Is a large book but it's full of detail.

My three-year-old loves bugs and he was so excited about this book on his birthday. It’s big, there are a lot of pages and the illustrations are beautiful. There is a decent amount of information on each page but it’s not overwhelming for a little kid. I’m planning to buy other books in this series.

Amei o livro! Ele tem informações básicas sobre alguns insetos, é para crianças pequenas ou para iniciantes no assunto. As ilustrações são lindas! Além disso, é ótimo para agregar vocabulário em inglês.
