If you spill something sticky or oily on the covers, quickly remove the excess and then spot clean the area with special wool liquid soap and let dry naturally, out of direct sunlight. Remark: If wash, Please Dry Wash. No Water Wash, Especially NO Machine Wash

Q: Is there scent, fragrance, perfume in the product?

Hello, Susan: Frequently, one notices at least some sort of odor when a package is first opened but I noticed no scent/perfume/odor when I opened the package -- not even a natural wool odor (like a wet wool sweater). My seat belt covers have been in place for nearly 7 months now (including the hottest part of summer and autumn) and I never notice any odors either when I first open my car and get in nor when the seat belt is buckled and the cover is in place close to my face. I just enjoy the soft cushioning of the wool and that the seat belt edge isn't cutting into my neck. Good luck with your decision-making. PS I love mine so much that I gave my sisters each a set this recent holiday season:)

The sheep are not killed for the seatbelt covers, per se. They are killed for meat. They try to use every part of the animal they can so as not to waste it.
