Don't buy it
It started to rust inside, of course 12 days after I could return it. Also, from the very beginning it was a problem because it attracted fruit flies. They could get through the holes in the top, even though there's a charcoal filter below them. So I put tape over the holes, then the tape starts to lift and the fruit flies can crawl through the tiny gaps. Waste of time and money.

Not smelly!
I’ve been composting for years and the biggest headache was always the smelly buildup of the food in whatever container I was using. With this Abakoo container, there is ZERO trace of smell, even when you open it. In addition, I produce a lot of compost and I only take this out about once a week- a big plus during Midwest winters! Maintenance is easy: dishwasher safe and soak the filter in soap water.

Handle falls off. Here is a fix.
I like the product except for a serious design flaw of the handle falling off. Does anyone like compost on their kitchen floor? I can't believe all the positive reviews with this deficiency. Rather than throw it away I created a fix for the handle. The first picture is the unmodified handle as it arrived. The second picture show how I bent the two ends of the handle to help keep it in place as well and bending the ends towards each other to create some tension to also help keep it in place. This worked fairly well as long as one always grabbed the handle in the center. I did not aways do that so I filed a notch in each end of the handle to help keep it in place. You will see two notches in the photo. The one closest to the end in the one that worked well. I suggest the manufacturer incorporate these fixes or better yet design the product so the handle ends are captive.

we like it,and the filters keep the smell in
We like it,a bit costly, but still cheaper than the rest,it's almost the size of a 2 gallon bucket you buy from lowes,we like it better than the bucket and it seem to be doing just as good of job as the bucket did with a better look and smell,we really don't even smell it anymore until you go to put something in it,it seals pretty good on smell,we don't use bags either,we just give it a quick rinse with the hose and it's ready for duty, the handle wire did pop off when we first got it,i just bend it a little in the middle and we have not had any more problems, just wish it had of been cheaper,we empty it about 2 to 3 time a week in our compost bin,we are making soil now baby

I loved the size
I liked the white color best of all of the colors as it seems to make for a "cleaner" look in my kitchen. Most of all I love its ample size. I had a smaller one and it seemed I was needed to empty it nearly daily. I believe this is going to allow for 5 to 7 day emptying in my downstairs composter and that is a hugely important gain. I purchased liners which I had never done previously and this is making my new composter even easier and nicer. The seller was punctual with shipping. My only suggestion would be to LEAVE OFF the brand name and only have the word COMPOST on the actual countertop composter. Other than that, I love it.
