This carafe is truly remarkable. I'm very picky about the taste and temperature of my coffee. I like to brew a pot of drip coffee each morning and sip on it until lunchtime. (I usually have lots of meetings and don't have time to make several small batches.). Leaving the pot on the burner or even an external warmer eventually oxidizes the coffee and gives it a burnt taste. And I don't like using metal containers or carafes because of the metallic flavor that gets added. I've tried several different solutions, and then I came across this carafe. It's a lifesaver! Keeps the coffee piping hot and the flavor fresh right to the last drop! I've had hot, great tasting coffee at least eight hours after brewing, thanks to the ingenious technology this thing has. If you're looking for a carafe that keeps coffee hot and fresh for hours, look no further!

I've had this carafe for awhile and one thing stood out more than others. Others I have had with a glass liner have kept the coffee nice and hot for hours. If i make a pot for supper, it is still hot enough for breakfast the next morning. What is it that impressed me?The lid threads. No matter which way the lid faces when you put it on, the threads line up and it closes facing the right way every time.It has a small spout and doesn't pour as fast as some others but its just a matter of a few seconds.

I have been using a carafe for coffee for many years. I don't like when the coffee sits in the pot on the burner and gets "burnt". This carafe is by far the best, it never spills, leaks, the top goes on easy, no matter how you put it on, and keeps the coffee hot all day. The only thing I would change is the color of the inside of the top, white just stains so easily, and you end up going through a lot of baking soda to keep it clean.

I have had a Zojirushi carafe for 18 years to keep my coffee hot. I bought one in 2002 and it recently began to leak--don't know why. I'd say that's a pretty good run. After doing extensive research, I bought another Zojirushi. I like my new one because of the changed pouring spout and the ability to pour coffee without having to take off or loosen the top. It keeps my coffee fresh and piping hot for about four hours, which is perfect for me. After that, it's still hot, but not piping hot. I highly recommend it.
