Are there any other ingredients listed, other than whats shown?

You would have to contact the manufacturer to find that out - I liked the formula - very smooth and non-irritating.

Why did the scent change? I have been using this product for years and when I opened my new package today, the scent is totally different.

I know I thought it would be more on the coconut side of the scent but now its cocoa butter!! Nothing like smelling like Chocolate.

Will this help fade melasma?

I am certainly not an expert on pigment challenges. I did read that Hydroquinone is an ingredient known to help. I checked the ingredients listed on the box that contained my bottle and did not see this substance listed. It’s a long list in tiny print so I could have missed it...there is probably a list below the description of this product on Amazon that is more readable. Perhaps it would be best to consult your dermatologist or a skin care specialist. I’d like to be able to say that this cream can’t hurt because of its other positive properties like retinol but if pigment coverage is your main objective, I am not qualified to advise you. I wish I could help more.

Is this better than the palmers skin therapy face oil for the face for those with dry skin?

I have not tried their oil. I love this night cream. I know that when putting oil on the skin, it is most effective if you put cream or lotion on first and then apply oil so that the oil has some moisture to hold against the skin. (or put oil on right after a shower while skin is hydrated). Oil alone has never been effective for me.
