ZAGGZaggkeys Profolio Bluetooth Keyboard Case for iPad 2nd 3rd and 4th Generation (Alligator)

Being a Zaggkeys Profolio, I thought the keys would light up like the other Zaggkeys Profolio we had. But I now know if it's not the Zagggkeys Profolio+ then the keys won't light up. Good product so far.

This will be my 4th Zaggkeys Profolio due to keys popping off when my grandkids play with it, or I drop the whole thing while opened on a solid surface...So the product is not at fault...I've never had any issues if it is dropped while closed. My first one was white leather with backlight (expensive) and I do not recommend white as once it gets a little dingy, I was unable to clean it with a Mr. Clean eraser or anything. I bought the second one in black with back light and I noticed I almost never used the back light. When I had to buy #3 I went with the alligator with no back light for about $34.00. What a deal! So, after a year I just dropped it while opened today and keys went flying. I'm going for another faux alligator and the price is now ridiculously low at $26.00. You will never want to use your iPad without this keyboard! The product is completely reliable, durable, and simple to use.

Unfortunately, I am NOT typing this review from my bluetooth keyboard. Like one of the commenters, the battery on mine will not charge out of the box. It only works if plugged into a external power source, which makes it worthless. I tried charging it with the included USB cord from a computer and also using a wall charger that works with several other devices. With the wall charger, I can see the charging light illuminated but the battery won't hold a charge.Some commenters complained about the faux-alligator on the cover. I actually liked it. The case was only slightly thicker than my non-keyboard cases, so I was really disappointed when I realized it wouldn't work.

I have bought two Zagg Bluetooth keyboard and case combos over the years. My first one was a carbon fiber case with keyboard, and I credit it with protecting my iPad for many years despite some drops.Zagg keyboards are easy to begin using, hold their charge forever, and make my iPads super convenient and efficient. I take my iPad everywhere in its Zagg case, and because both the iPad and the Zagg weigh very little and run for a long time without charging, I don’t hesitate to open the case and start working wherever I am. Zagg keys are durable and responsive, and save me a lot of time compared to pecking at the onscreen keyboard. The Zagg case and keyboard complements the iPad perfectly.

I have an Ipad 4th generation. Originally I had a Zagg bluetooth keyboard that lasted many years of grandkids, drops and several other misfortunes. It finally wore out a year ago. After searching and calling the company, I was told Zagg no longer made the keyboards for the older Ipads. I found another brand here Dec. 2017 on Amazon and settled for it. It was extremely heavy and the keyboard was difficult to use. That keyboard lasted 3mths and the cap. lock would not turn off. Once again I searched on Amazon and to my surprise I found this Zagg keyboard!!! Words cannot desribe how happy I am once again with this product. Long story short, I absolutely recommend this product, I promise you will be extremely happy. Also, I delt with Zagg when my original keyboard died and their customer service went above and beyond to try their best to help me out, amazing customer service!
